As mulheres partiram depressa do sepulcro.

Reflexão

Algo extraordinário está acontecendo. Algumas mulheres vão visitar o túmulo de Jesus. Um anjo do Senhor aparece, remove a pedra da entrada do sepulcro e comunica-lhes que não está ali quem elas procuram. Ressurgiu dos mortos, como havia predito várias vezes. Que fossem avisar os outros discípulos. Com medo e alegria, elas correm para levar a notícia feliz. No caminho encontram o Ressuscitado, que lhes diz: “Alegrem-se!”. Os guardas constatam que já não há ninguém sepultado. Vão contar o fato a seus chefes, os sumos sacerdotes. Perplexos, os chefes, que tinham mandado crucificar Jesus, oferecem dinheiro para os guardas espalharem uma mentira: que o corpo de Jesus foi roubado. Desmentindo o boato, Jesus se manifesta vivo. A morte não tem mais poder sobre ele.

Reflection 

Something extraordinary is happening. Some women will visit the tomb of Jesus. An angel of the Lord appears, removes the stone from the entrance of the tomb and communicates to them that it is not there whom they seek. He resurfaced from the dead, as he had foretold several times. Let them warn the other disciples. With fear and joy, they run to bring the happy news. On the way they find the risen, who tells them: "Rejoice!". The guards found out there's no one buried. They're going to tell their bosses, the high priests. Perplexed, the Chiefs, who had commanded Jesus to Crucify, offer money for the guards to spread a lie: that the body of Jesus was stolen. By unlying the rumor, Jesus manifests himself alive. Death has no more power over him.

Leitura dos Atos dos Apóstolos 2,14.22-32 – No dia de Pentecostes, 14Pedro, de pé, junto com os onze apóstolos, levantou a voz e falou à multidão: 22“Homens de Israel, escutai estas palavras: Jesus de Nazaré foi um homem aprovado por Deus, junto de vós, pelos milagres, prodígios e sinais que Deus realizou, por meio dele, entre vós. Tudo isso vós bem o sabeis. 23Deus, em seu desígnio e previsão, determinou que Jesus fosse entregue pelas mãos dos ímpios, e vós o matastes, pregando-o numa cruz. 24Mas Deus ressuscitou a Jesus, libertando-o das angústias da morte, porque não era possível que ela o dominasse. 25Pois Davi dele diz: ‘Eu via sempre o Senhor diante de mim, pois está à minha direita para eu não vacilar. 26Alegrou-se por isso meu coração e exultou minha língua, e até minha carne repousará na esperança. 27Porque não deixarás minha alma na região dos mortos nem permitirás que teu santo experimente corrupção. 28Deste-me a conhecer os caminhos da vida e a tua presença me encherá de alegria’. 29Irmãos, seja-me permitido dizer com franqueza que o patriarca Davi morreu e foi sepultado, e seu sepulcro está entre nós até hoje. 30Mas, sendo profeta, sabia que Deus lhe jurara solenemente que um de seus descendentes ocuparia o trono. 31É, portanto, a ressurreição de Cristo que previu e anunciou com as palavras: ‘Ele não foi abandonado na região dos mortos e sua carne não conheceu a corrupção’. 32Com efeito, Deus ressuscitou esse mesmo Jesus e disto todos nós somos testemunhas”. – Palavra do Senhor.

Reading of the Acts of the Apostles 2, 14.22-32 – on the day of Pentecost, 14 Peter, standing together with the eleven apostles, raised his voice and spoke to the multitude: 22 "Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth was a man approved by God, with you, by the Miracles , prodigies and signs that God has accomplished through him among you. (Sl 117,24) – Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus 28,8-15 – Naquele tempo, 8as mulheres partiram depressa do sepulcro. Estavam com medo, mas correram com grande alegria para dar a notícia aos discípulos. 9De repente, Jesus foi ao encontro delas e disse: “Alegrai-vos!” As mulheres aproximaram-se e prostraram-se diante de Jesus, abraçando seus pés. 10Então Jesus disse a elas: “Não tenhais medo. Ide anunciar aos meus irmãos que se dirijam para a Galileia. Lá eles me verão”. 11Quando as mulheres partiram, alguns guardas do túmulo foram à cidade e comunicaram aos sumos sacerdotes tudo o que havia acontecido. 12Os sumos sacerdotes reuniram-se com os anciãos, e deram uma grande soma de dinheiro aos soldados, 13dizendo-lhes: “Dizei que os discípulos dele foram durante a noite e roubaram o corpo enquanto vós dormíeis. 14Se o governador ficar sabendo disso, nós o convenceremos. Não vos preocupeis”. 15Os soldados pegaram o dinheiro e agiram de acordo com as instruções recebidas. E assim, o boato espalhou-se entre os judeus até o dia de hoje. – Palavra da salvação.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah. This is the day the Lord has made for us, and let us rejoice and exult him! (PS 117.24) – Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 28.8-15 – at that time, 8 women departed quickly from the Sepulchre. They were afraid, but they ran with great joy to give the news to the disciples. 9Suddenly Jesus went to meet them and said: "Rejoice!" The women approached and prostrated before Jesus, hugging their feet. 10Then Jesus said to them, "do not be afraid. You are to announce to my brethren that you are headed for Galilee.
