Reflexão

Por saber que corria sério perigo de morte, Jesus evita circular pela Judeia. Mesmo quando vai a Jerusalém para a festa das Tendas, ele o faz ocultamente. Não procura o martírio gratuitamente. Entretanto, longe de se omitir ou calar, ele é visto falando abertamente. Aliás, fala bem alto ao ensinar no Templo. Permanece fiel à sua missão de ensinar a verdade. As autoridades, bem ciosas de seu espaço e de seu poder, tomam essa atitude de Jesus como provocação. Por sua vez, a qualquer momento Jesus poderia ser vítima da fúria de seus adversários. Estes, ao invés de se converterem ao Deus de Jesus, escolhem eliminar o Jesus de Deus. Enquanto não chega a sua hora, a hora da paixão e morte, Jesus segue testemunhando, diante de todos, que ele vem de junto do Pai.

Reflection 

Knowing that he was in serious danger of death, Jesus avoids circulating through Judea. Even when he goes to Jerusalem for the feast of the Tents, he hides it. Do not seek martyrdom for free. However, far from omitting or silencing, he is seen openly speaking. In Fact, you speak very loudly when teaching in the Temple. You Remain faithful to your mission of teaching the truth. The authorities, very scious of their space and their power, take this attitude of Jesus as provocation. In turn, Jesus could be a victim of the fury of his opponents at any time. These, instead of converting to the God of Jesus, choose to eliminate the Jesus of God. Leitura do livro da Sabedoria 2,1.12-22 – 1Dizem entre si os ímpios, em seus falsos raciocínios: 12“Armemos ciladas ao justo, porque sua presença nos incomoda: ele se opõe ao nosso modo de agir, repreende em nós as transgressões da lei e nos reprova as faltas contra a nossa disciplina. 13Ele declara possuir o conhecimento de Deus e chama-se ‘filho de Deus’. 14Tornou-se uma censura aos nossos pensamentos, e só o vê-lo nos é insuportável; 15sua vida é muito diferente da dos outros e seus caminhos são imutáveis. 16Somos comparados por ele a moeda falsa, e foge de nossos caminhos como de impurezas; proclama feliz a sorte final dos justos e gloria-se de ter a Deus por pai. 17Vejamos, pois, se é verdade o que ele diz e comprovemos o que vai acontecer com ele. 18Se, de fato, o justo é ‘filho de Deus’, Deus o defenderá e o livrará das mãos dos seus inimigos. 19Vamos pô-lo à prova com ofensas e torturas, para ver a sua serenidade e provar a sua paciência; 20vamos condená-lo a morte vergonhosa, porque, de acordo com suas palavras, virá alguém em seu socorro”. 21Tais são os pensamentos dos ímpios, mas enganam-se; pois a malícia os torna cegos, 22não conhecem os segredos de Deus, não esperam recompensa para a santidade e não dão valor ao prêmio reservado às vidas puras. – Palavra do Senhor.

Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo João 7,1-2.10.25-30 – Naquele tempo, 1Jesus andava percorrendo a Galileia. Evitava andar pela Judeia, porque os judeus procuravam matá-lo. 2Entretanto, aproximava-se a festa judaica das Tendas. 10Quando seus irmãos já tinham subido, então também ele subiu para a festa, não publicamente, mas sim como que às escondidas. 25Alguns habitantes de Jerusalém disseram então: “Não é este a quem procuram matar? 26Eis que fala em público e nada lhe dizem. Será que, na verdade, as autoridades reconheceram que ele é o Messias? 27Mas este nós sabemos donde é. O Cristo, quando vier, ninguém saberá donde ele é”. 28Em alta voz, Jesus ensinava no templo, dizendo: “Vós me conheceis e sabeis de onde sou; eu não vim por mim mesmo, mas o que me enviou é fidedigno. A esse, não o conheceis, 29mas eu o conheço, porque venho da parte dele, e ele foi quem me enviou”. 30Então, queriam prendê-lo, mas ninguém pôs a mão nele, porque ainda não tinha chegado a sua hora. – Palavra da salvação.

Do coração atribulado está perto o Senhor. O Senhor volta a sua face contra os maus, / para da terra apagar sua lembrança. / Clamam os justos, e o Senhor bondoso escuta / e de todas as angústias os liberta. Do coração atribulado ele está perto / e conforta os de espírito abatido. / Muitos males se abatem sobre os justos, / mas o Senhor de todos eles os liberta. Psalm 33/34

The afflicted heart is near the Lord. The Lord returns to his face against the wicked,/to the Earth to erase his remembrance. /They Cry out to the righteous, and the good Lord hears/and all the anguish frees them. From The troubled heart he is near/and comforted those of spirit slaughtered. /Many evils are slaughtered over the righteous,/But the Lord of them all frees them.
