O que me dareis se vos entregar Jesus?

What will you do if I give you Jesus?

Reflexão

Por trinta moedas de prata, Jesus está sendo negociado por um de seus discípulos. Na casa de um amigo, Jesus come a Páscoa com os apóstolos. A refeição, que poderia transcorrer em clima descontraído e cordial, torna-se ocasião de forte tensão entre todos. É que Jesus lhes revela que um deles vai entregá-lo aos chefes do povo. A tristeza apodera-se deles, e o traidor é apontado: Judas. Foi o nosso pecado que causou a morte de Jesus. Convém lembrar que nosso pacto com o pecado é que provoca o sacrifício de Jesus. É o mistério pascal (paixão, morte e ressurreição de Jesus) que vamos contemplar e meditar nos próximos dias, à medida que estivermos celebrando as últimas ações terrenas de Jesus.

Reflection 

For thirty pieces of silver, Jesus is being negotiated by one of his disciples. In a friend's house, Jesus eats Easter with the apostles. The meal, which could run in a relaxed and cordial climate, becomes an occasion of strong tension among all. It Is that Jesus reveals to them that one of them will deliver him to the chiefs of the people. Sadness takes hold of them, and the traitor is appointed: Judas. It Was our sin that caused the death of Jesus. It Should be remembered that our pact with sin is that it provokes the sacrifice of Jesus. It Is the Paschal Mystery (passion, death and resurrection of Jesus) that we will contemplate and meditate in the coming days, as we celebrate the last earthly actions of Jesus.

Leitura do livro do profeta Isaías 50,4-9 – 4O Senhor Deus deu-me língua adestrada, para que eu saiba dizer palavras de conforto à pessoa abatida; ele me desperta cada manhã e me excita o ouvido, para prestar atenção como um discípulo. 5O Senhor abriu-me os ouvidos; não lhe resisti nem voltei atrás. 6Ofereci as costas para me baterem e as faces para me arrancarem a barba: não desviei o rosto de bofetões e cusparadas. 7Mas o Senhor Deus é meu auxiliador, por isso não me deixei abater o ânimo, conservei o rosto impassível como pedra, porque sei que não sairei humilhado. 8A meu lado está quem me justifica; alguém me fará objeções? Vejamos. Quem é meu adversário? Aproxime-se. 9Sim, o Senhor Deus é meu auxiliador; quem é que me vai condenar? – Palavra do Senhor.

Reading of the Book of the Prophet Isaiah 50,4-9 – 4The Lord God gave me tongue, so that I can say words of comfort to the person slaughtered; He awakens me every morning and excites my ear, to pay attention as a disciple. 5Th Lord opened my ears; I couldn't resist him or go back. 6I Offered My back to beat me and the faces to shave my beard: I did not dodge the face of bofetons and spit. 7But the Lord God is my helper, so I did not let myself be discouraged, I fixed my face impassive as stone, because I know that I shall not be humiliated. 8A My side is who justifies me; Someone will object to me? See. Who's my opponent? Come Closer. 9Yes, the Lord God is my helper; Who's going to convict me? – Word of the Lord.

Salve, Cristo, luz da vida, / companheiro na partilha! Salve, nosso rei, somente vós / tendes compaixão dos nossos erros. Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus 26,14-25 – Naquele tempo, 14um dos doze discípulos, chamado Judas Iscariotes, foi ter com os sumos sacerdotes 15e disse: “O que me dareis se vos entregar Jesus?” Combinaram, então, trinta moedas de prata. 16E daí em diante, Judas procurava uma oportunidade para entregar Jesus. 17No primeiro dia da festa dos Ázimos, os discípulos aproximaram-se de Jesus e perguntaram: “Onde queres que façamos os preparativos para comer a Páscoa?” 18Jesus respondeu: “Ide à cidade, procurai certo homem e dizei-lhe: ‘O mestre manda dizer: O meu tempo está próximo, vou celebrar a Páscoa em tua casa, junto com meus discípulos’”. 19Os discípulos fizeram como Jesus mandou e prepararam a Páscoa. 20Ao cair da tarde, Jesus pôs-se à mesa com os doze discípulos. 21Enquanto comiam, Jesus disse: “Em verdade eu vos digo, um de vós vai me trair”. 22Eles ficaram muito tristes e, um por um, começaram a lhe perguntar: “Senhor, será que sou eu?” 23Jesus respondeu: “Quem vai me trair é aquele que comigo põe a mão no prato. 24O Filho do homem vai morrer, conforme diz a Escritura a respeito dele. Contudo, ai daquele que trair o Filho do homem! Seria melhor que nunca tivesse nascido!” 25Então Judas, o traidor, perguntou: “Mestre, serei eu?” Jesus lhe respondeu: “Tu o dizes”. – Palavra da salvação.

Respondei-me, pelo vosso imenso amor, / neste tempo favorável, Senhor Deus. Answer me, for your immense love, in this favorable time, Lord God. Because of you, I have suffered so many insults, and my face has been covered with confusion; /I became a stranger to my brethren,/as a foreigner to my mother's children. /For my zeal and my love for your home/devour me as scorer fire; /And the insults of infidels that outran/all of them all about me! The insult broke my heart. † I waited for someone of me to have pity; /I looked for those who relieved me and did not find it! /They Gave me gall as if it were a food,/in my thirst they offered me vinegar!
