Aquele que me enviou está comigo.

Reflexão

À medida que se aproxima a paixão de Jesus, seu drama torna-se mais agudo. O diálogo entre Jesus e os fariseus é truncado. Não flui, porque os fariseus não se abrem à verdade, não têm disposição para acolher Jesus, o enviado do Pai. Permanecem surdos ao ensinamento dele, impenetráveis à proposta de vida nova. Instalam-se nas trevas do pecado, porque se recusam a aceitar a luz divina. O drama de Jesus terminará na cruz, quando se revelará sua divindade com toda a força: “Quando levantarem o Filho do Homem, saberão que eu sou”. Mesmo encontrando muitos corações de pedra, não é inútil o discurso de Jesus, que insiste em reafirmar sua total sintonia com o Pai. Não foram palavras jogadas ao vento, já que muitos acreditaram nele.

Reflection 

As Jesus' passion approaches, his drama becomes more acute. The dialogue between Jesus and the Pharisees is truncated. It Does not flow, because the Pharisees do not open to the truth, they have no willingness to welcome Jesus, the Father's envoy. They Remain deaf to his teaching, impenetrable to the proposal of new life. They Settle in the darkness of sin, because they refuse to accept the divine light. The drama of Jesus will end on the cross, when his divinity is revealed with all power: "When you raise the Son of Man, you shall know that I am." Even finding many hearts of stone, the discourse of Jesus is not useless, which insists on reaffirming his full harmony with the Father. It was Not words thrown in the wind, since many believed him.

Leitura do livro dos Números 21,4-9 – Naqueles dias, 4os filhos de Israel partiram do monte Hor, pelo caminho que leva ao mar Vermelho, para contornarem o país de Edom. Durante a viagem, o povo começou a impacientar-se 5e se pôs a falar contra Deus e contra Moisés, dizendo: “Por que nos fizestes sair do Egito para morrermos no deserto? Não há pão, falta água e já estamos com nojo desse alimento miserável”. 6Então o Senhor mandou contra o povo serpentes venenosas, que os mordiam; e morreu muita gente em Israel. 7O povo foi ter com Moisés e disse: “Pecamos, falando contra o Senhor e contra ti. Roga ao Senhor que afaste de nós as serpentes”. Moisés intercedeu pelo povo, 8e o Senhor respondeu: “Faze uma serpente abrasadora e coloca-a como sinal sobre uma haste; aquele que for mordido e olhar para ela viverá”. 9Moisés fez, pois, uma serpente de bronze e colocou-a como sinal sobre uma haste. Quando alguém era mordido por uma serpente e olhava para a serpente de bronze, ficava curado. – Palavra do Senhor.

1st. Reading 

Reading of the Book of Numbers 21,4-9 – in Those days, 4the children of Israel departed from Mount Hor, by the path leading to the Red sea, to bypass the country of Edom. During the journey, the people began to Impatise 5e and spoke against God and against Moses, saying: "Why did you make us leave Egypt to die in the wilderness? Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo João 8,21-30 – Naquele tempo, disse Jesus aos fariseus: 21“Eu parto e vós me procurareis, mas morrereis no vosso pecado. Para onde eu vou, vós não podeis ir”. 22Os judeus comentavam: “Por acaso, vai-se matar? Pois ele diz: ‘Para onde eu vou, vós não podeis ir’?” 23Jesus continuou: “Vós sois daqui de baixo, eu sou do alto. Vós sois deste mundo, eu não sou deste mundo. 24Disse-vos que morrereis nos vossos pecados, porque, se não acreditais que eu sou, morrereis nos vossos pecados”. 25Perguntaram-lhe, pois: “Quem és tu então?” Jesus respondeu: “O que vos digo desde o começo. 26Tenho muitas coisas a dizer a vosso respeito e a julgar também. Mas aquele que me enviou é fidedigno, e o que ouvi da parte dele é o que falo para o mundo”. 27Eles não compreenderam que lhes estava falando do Pai. 28Por isso, Jesus continuou: “Quando tiverdes elevado o Filho do homem, então sabereis que eu sou e que nada faço por mim mesmo, mas apenas falo aquilo que o Pai me ensinou. 29Aquele que me enviou está comigo. Ele não me deixou sozinho, porque sempre faço o que é de seu agrado”. 30Enquanto Jesus assim falava, muitos acreditaram nele. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel
