Jesus is our only Saviour - Jo 5, 17-30

Texto Bíblico

Naquele tempo, 17 Jesus respondeu aos judeus: “Meu Pai trabalha sempre, portanto também eu trabalho”. 18 Então, os judeus ainda mais procuravam matá-lo, porque, além de violar o sábado, chamava Deus o seu Pai, fazendo-se, assim, igual a Deus. 19 Tomando a palavra, Jesus disse aos judeus: “Em verdade, em verdade vos digo, o Filho não pode fazer nada por si mesmo; ele faz apenas o que vê o Pai fazer. O que o Pai faz, o Filho o faz também. 20 O Pai ama o Filho e lhe mostra tudo o que ele mesmo faz. E lhe mostrará obras maiores ainda, de modo que ficareis admirados. 21 Assim como o Pai ressuscita os mortos e lhes dá a vida, o Filho também dá a vida a quem ele quer. 22 De fato, o Pai não julga ninguém, mas ele deu ao Filho o poder de julgar, 23 para que todos honrem o Filho, assim como honram o Pai. Quem não honra o Filho, também não honra o Pai que o enviou. 24 Em verdade, em verdade vos digo, quem ouve a minha palavra e crê naquele que me enviou, possui a vida eterna. Não será condenado, pois já passou da morte para a vida. 25 Em verdade, em verdade, eu vos digo: está chegando a hora, e já chegou, em que os mortos ouvirão a voz do Filho de Deus e os que a ouvirem viverão. 26 Porque, assim como o Pai possui a vida em si mesmo, do mesmo modo concedeu ao Filho possuir a vida em si mesmo. 27 Além disso, deu-lhe o poder de julgar, pois ele é o Filho do Homem. 28 Não fiqueis admirados com isso, porque vai chegar a hora em que todos os que estão nos túmulos ouvirão a voz do Filho e sairão: 29 aqueles que fizeram o bem, ressuscitarão para a vida; e aqueles que praticaram o mal, para a condenação.30 Eu não posso fazer nada por mim mesmo. Eu julgo conforme o que escuto, e meu julgamento é justo, porque não procuro fazer a minha vontade, mas a vontade daquele que me enviou.

Biblical Text 
At that time, 17 Jesus replied to the Jews: "My Father always works, so I also work". 18 then the Jews sought all the more to kill him, because, in addition to violating the Sabbath, God the Father, your doing so, equal to God. 19 Taking the word, Jesus said to the Jews: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, the Son can do nothing by himself; He does only what he sees the Father do. What the father does the Son also does. 20 the father loves the Son and shows him all he does. And will show you larger works yet, so that will be admired. 21 just as the father raises the dead and gives them life, the son gives life to whom he wants. 22 the Father judges no one, but he gave the Son the power to judge, 23 for all honor the son just as they honor the father. Whoever does not honor the son does not honor the father who also sent. 24 verily, verily, I say, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me, has eternal life. Will not be condemned, as it has passed from death to life. 25 verily, verily, I say unto you, the hour is coming, and has already come, when the dead will hear the voice of the son of God and those who hear will live. 26 for as the Father has life in himself, likewise granted the Son have life in himself. 27 in addition, gave him the power to judge, because he is son of man. 28 don't be surprised with this, because there will come a time in which all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out: 29 those who have done good will rise to life; and those who have done evil, to the sentencing. 30 I can't do anything by myself. I judge according to what I hear, and my judgment is just, because I seek not to do my will, but the will of him who sent me.

Refletindo

Abramos nossos ouvidos, todos os dias, sobretudo os ouvidos do coração, do nosso interior, para escutarmos Jesus, para que Ele nos fale, para que Sua Palavra entre em nós. A Palavra d’Ele precisa entrar em nós para nos restaurar, curar e libertar-nos, porque quem ouve Sua Palavra e crê que Ele é o enviado de Deus possui a vida no sentido mais pleno da palavra, ou seja, possui a vida eterna. Não fiquemos pensando que a vida eterna só acontece depois que morremos ou que vamos para o Céu. Não! Ela começa agora, pois vida eterna é viver a vida em Deus. Nossa vida só está plenamente no Senhor quando nos abrimos para escutá-Lo e acolhê-Lo como nosso Salvador! Temos de crer n’Ele e, uma vez que O escutarmos, agirmos como disse São Paulo aos Romanos: “Agora, eu professo com a minha boca que creio em Jesus!”. Não fique mudo, meu irmão; não fique muda, minha querida irmã! Proclame, diga para você mesmo todos os dias: “Jesus é o meu Senhor! Jesus é o meu Salvador! Eu creio n’Ele, prostro-me na presença d’Ele! Eu O assumo como meu único Senhor e Salvador!”. Não fique naquela posição passiva: “É bonito!”. Não! Aquilo que os seus ouvidos escutam você responde também com a boca. Que seus lábios proclamem a Palavra na sua casa, que você a proclame aos outros. Não precisa ter fanatismo, não precisa ficar pregando, mas que você proclame, a fim de que as pessoas saibam que você crê em Jesus. É preciso dizer que não é só carregando uma cruz no pescoço, tendo uma cruz em casa, que proclamamos o Senhor. Isso é um sinal. É preciso também que a boca professe aquilo que os ouvidos ouviram e que nós cremos. É preciso que nós digamos aos outros aquilo que muitos dos judeus, sobretudo os chefes deles, não assumiram: “O Senhor é o Salvador de nossa vida”. No dia de hoje, mesmo aqueles tantos que foram batizados, que professam a fé cristã, não assumem, em sua vida, que creem em Jesus como seu Salvador. Aliás, estão buscando salvação em outras coisas, estão buscando salvação naquilo que não salva, que leva as pessoas a se perderem, porque o único que nos salva é Jesus! Quando assumimos Jesus como Salvador, neste momento, saímos da morte, os elementos da morte que estão dentro de nós vão embora, porque Jesus assume o comando. E quando Ele está no comando, leva-nos à vida, e a vida d’Ele está em nós. Eu creio e professo que Jesus é o meu Senhor e Salvador!

Reflecting

Open our ears, every day, especially the ears of the heart, inside, to listen to Jesus, so he can tell us, so that his word between us. The word of it must get in to restore, heal and liberate us, because those who hear his word and believe that He is the Envoy of God has life in the full sense of the word, IE, has eternal life. Not be thinking that eternal life only happens after we die or we're going to heaven. No! It begins now, as eternal life is to live life in God. Our life is fully in the Lord when we open to listen to him and accept him as our Savior. We have to believe in him and, once we listen, we act as said Are Paul to the Romans: "Now, I profess with my mouth that I believe in Jesus!". Don't be dumb, my brother; Don't be dumb, my dear sister! Proclaim, say to yourself every day: "Jesus is my Lord! Jesus is my Saviour! I believe in him, I prostrate myself in his presence! I take it as my only Lord and Savior! ". Don't be passive position: "it's beautiful!". No! What your ears hear you answer too. Your lips proclaim the word in your House, you proclaim to others. You don't have to be fanatical, you don't have to keep preaching, but that you proclaim, in order to let people know that you believe in Jesus. It must be said that it's not just carrying a cross around his neck, taking a cross home, that proclaim the Lord. That's a sign. The mouth also what my ears heard profess and what we believe. We need to say to others what many of the Jews, especially the heads of them, didn't take: "you are the Savior of our life". Today, even those many who have been baptized, who profess the Christian faith, assume, in your life, who believe in Jesus as your Savior. By the way, are seeking salvation in other things, are seeking salvation in what does not save, which leads people to lose, because the only thing that saves us is Jesus! When we take Jesus as Savior right now, out of the death, the elements of death that are inside of us go away, because Jesus assumes command. And when He's in charge, takes us to life, and the life he is in us. I believe and profess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior!
