 Eis aqui a serva do Senhor - Lc 1, 26-38

Behold the handmaid of the Lord - Lk 1, 26-38

Texto Bíblico

Naquele tempo, 26 o anjo Gabriel foi enviado por Deus a uma cidade da Galileia, chamada Nazaré, 27 a uma virgem, prometida em casamento a um homem chamado José. Ele era descendente de Davi e o nome da Virgem era Maria. 28 O anjo entrou onde ela estava e disse: “Alegra-te, cheia de graça, o Senhor está contigo!” 29 Maria ficou perturbada com estas palavras e começou a pensar qual seria o significado da saudação. 30 O anjo, então, disse-lhe: “Não tenhas medo, Maria, porque encontraste graça diante de Deus. 31 Eis que conceberás e darás à luz um filho, a quem porás o nome de Jesus. 32 Ele será grande, será chamado Filho do Altíssimo, e o Senhor Deus lhe dará o trono de seu pai Davi. 33 Ele reinará para sempre sobre os descendentes de Jacó, e o seu reino não terá fim”. 34 Maria perguntou ao anjo: “Como acontecerá isso, se eu não conheço homem algum?” 35 O anjo respondeu: “O Espírito virá sobre ti, e o poder do Altíssimo te cobrirá com sua sombra. Por isso, o menino que vai nascer será chamado Santo, Filho de Deus. 36 Também Isabel, tua parenta, concebeu um filho na velhice. Este já é o sexto mês daquela que era considerada estéril, 37 porque para Deus nada é impossível”. 38 Maria, então, disse: “Eis aqui a serva do Senhor; faça-se em mim segundo a tua palavra!” E o anjo retirou-se.

Biblical Text 
At that time, 26 the Angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 to a Virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph. He was a descendant of David and the Virgin's name was Mary. 28 the Angel went where she was and said: "rejoice, full of grace, the Lord is with you!" 29 Mary was upset with these words and started thinking what would be the meaning of the salutation. 30 and the angel said to him: "don't be afraid, Mary, because you have found favor with God. 31 behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a son, and shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called son of the most high, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David your father. 33 He shall reign forever on the descendants of Jacob, and your Kingdom will have no end ". 34 Mary asked the Angel, "How will happen if I do not know a man?" 35 the angel answered: "the spirit will come upon you, and the power of the most high will overshadow you with your shadow. So, the boy who will be born will be called Holy, the son of God. 36 your relative Elizabeth Also conceived a son in her old age. This is the sixth month of that which was considered sterile, 37 because for God nothing is impossible ". 38 Maria, then said: "Behold the handmaid of the Lord; Let it be done to me according to your Word. " And the Angel retired.

Refletindo

Que graça divina, que graça sublime, realmente extrema e maravilhosa Deus traz ao meio de nós e a realiza no ventre de Maria! Por isso, hoje só posso dizer: “Bendita és tu entre as mulheres! Bendita és tu que acreditou! Bendita és tu que se colocou-se à disposição! Bendita és tu que não temeu ao que Deus tinha para realizar em ti. Bendita sejas tu, Maria, porque o paraíso, o novo Céu, a nova Terra, começou no seu ventre, saiu de ti! Bendita sejas tu Maria, porque foste toda de Deus, templo, morada e lugar da nova criatura!”. Todos nós precisamos de um colo, de um ventre para sermos recriados na graça de Deus. O ventre que Deus nos dá é abençoado da bem-aventurada sempre Virgem Maria. Aquela que concebeu em si o filho eterno de Deus, quer também nos acolher para que possamos renascer como novas criaturas para o Senhor!

Reflecting

That divine grace, that sublime grace, really extreme and amazing God brings in half of us and performs in the womb of Mary. So, today I can only say: "blessed are you among women! Blessed are you who believed. Blessed are you who put yourself available! Blessed are you who do not fear to what God had to perform on you. Blessed be you, Maria, because paradise, new heaven, new Earth, began in your womb, left you! Blessed be you Maria, because you all of God, Temple, address and place of the new creature! ". We all need a lap of a womb to be recreated in the grace of God. The womb that God gives us is blessed of the Blessed Virgin Mary always. The one who conceived the son of God, and also welcome us so that we can be reborn as new creatures to the Lord!
