Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Marcos 1,7-11 – Naquele tempo, 7João Batista pregava, dizendo: “Depois de mim virá alguém mais forte do que eu. Eu nem sou digno de me abaixar para desamarrar suas sandálias. 8Eu vos batizei com água, mas ele vos batizará com o Espírito Santo”. 9Naqueles dias, Jesus veio de Nazaré da Galileia e foi batizado por João no rio Jordão. 10E logo, ao sair da água, viu o céu se abrindo e o Espírito, como pomba, descer sobre ele. 11E do céu veio uma voz: “Tu és o meu Filho amado, em ti ponho meu bem-querer”. – Palavra da salvação.

Ó Jesus de Nazaré, quiseste ser batizado por João. Na hora do batismo, o céu se manifestou: o Espírito desceu sobre Ti em forma de pomba, e a voz do Pai celeste confirmou que és Seu Filho amado. Ajuda-nos a compreender que, pelo batismo, nos tornamos habitação da Santíssima Trindade. Amém.

To Pray

O Jesus of Nazareth, you wanted to be baptized by John.
