Eis minha mãe e meus irmãos.

Here's my mother and my brothers.

Hoje nossa atenção se concentra na figura da Mãe de Jesus, em Maria, sob um aspecto muito especial: ela fez a vontade do Pai de Jesus, o Pai que está nos Céus. (cf. Mt 12,50). Sabemos muito bem como a Mãe de Jesus viveu toda a vida no amor a Deus e cumpriu a vontade do Pai que está nos Céus.

Today our attention focuses on the figure of the mother of Jesus, in Mary, in a very special aspect: she did the will of the father of Jesus, the father who is in heaven. (cf. Mt 12.50). We know very well how the mother of Jesus lived all her life in the love of God and fulfilled the will of the father who is in heaven.

Leitura da profecia de Zacarias 2,14-17 – 14“Rejubila, alegra-te, cidade de Sião, eis que venho para habitar no meio de ti, diz o Senhor. 15Muitas nações se aproximarão do Senhor naquele dia e serão o seu povo. Habitarei no meio de ti, e saberás que o Senhor dos exércitos me enviou a ti. 16O Senhor entrará em posse de Judá, como sua porção na terra santa, e escolherá de novo Jerusalém. 17Emudeça todo mortal diante do Senhor, ele acaba de levantar-se de sua santa habitação”. – Palavra do Senhor.

Tua mãe e teus irmãos estão aí fora e querem falar contigo”. 48Jesus perguntou àquele que tinha falado: “Quem é minha mãe e quem são meus irmãos?” 49E, estendendo a mão para os discípulos, Jesus disse: “Eis minha mãe e meus irmãos. 50Pois todo aquele que faz a vontade do meu Pai, que está nos céus, esse é meu irmão, minha irmã e minha mãe”. – Palavra da salvação.
