Levanta-te e anda

Get up and walk

Ao ver um paralítico trazido por mãos solidárias, Jesus valoriza-lhes a fé, mola propulsora que nos faz sair de nós mesmos e buscar a cura, a vida, a salvação. Jesus nada pergunta ao paralítico; com poucas palavras o liberta dos pecados. Desse modo, Jesus mostra claramente a natureza espiritual da sua obra no mundo onde o mal fundamental é o pecado. Agitam-se alguns doutores da Lei, que cochicham a respeito de Jesus: “Ele blasfema”. Jesus esclarece o equívoco: “O Filho do Homem tem na terra autoridade para perdoar pecados”. E dirigindo-se ao paralítico, ordena: “Levante-se…”. Se tem poder para perdoar pecados, também pode libertar dos males físicos. Os doutores da Lei ficam desconcertados e mudos. As multidões, ao invés, glorificam a Deus.

Seeing a paralytic brought by supportive hands, Jesus values their faith, a propellant spring that makes us leave ourselves and seek healing, life, salvation. Jesus asks nothing of the paralytic; With few words frees him from sin. In this way, Jesus clearly shows the spiritual nature of his work in the world where the fundamental evil is sin. Some doctors of the law are stirred, who whisper about Jesus: "He blaspheme." Jesus clarifies the misunderstanding: "The son of man has authority to forgive sins in the land." And addressing the paralytic, he commands: "Stand up...". If you have the power to forgive sins, you can also free yourself from physical evils. The doctors of the law are disconcerted and mute. The crowds, instead, glorify God.

Leitura do livro do Gênesis 22,1-19 – Naqueles dias, 1Deus pôs Abraão à prova. Chamando-o, disse: “Abraão!” E ele respondeu: “Aqui estou”. 2E Deus disse: “Toma teu filho único, Isaac, a quem tanto amas, dirige-te à terra de Moriá e oferece-o ali em holocausto sobre um monte que eu te indicar”. 3Abraão levantou-se bem cedo, selou o jumento, tomou consigo dois dos seus servos e seu filho Isaac. Depois de ter rachado lenha para o holocausto, pôs-se a caminho, para o lugar que Deus lhe havia ordenado. 4No terceiro dia, Abraão, levantando os olhos, viu de longe o lugar. 5Disse, então, aos seus servos: “Esperai aqui com o jumento, enquanto eu e o menino vamos até lá. Depois de adorarmos a Deus, voltaremos a vós”. 6Abraão tomou a lenha para o holocausto e a pôs às costas do seu filho Isaac, enquanto ele levava o fogo e a faca. E os dois continuaram caminhando juntos. 7Isaac disse a Abraão: “Meu pai”. “Que queres, meu filho?”, respondeu ele. E o menino disse: “Temos o fogo e a lenha, mas onde está a vítima para o holocausto?” 8Abraão respondeu: “Deus providenciará a vítima para o holocausto, meu filho”. E os dois continuaram caminhando juntos. 9Chegados ao lugar indicado por Deus, Abraão ergueu um altar, colocou a lenha em cima, amarrou o filho e o pôs sobre a lenha em cima do altar. 10Depois, estendeu a mão, empunhando a faca para sacrificar o filho. 11E eis que o anjo do Senhor gritou do céu, dizendo: “Abraão! Abraão!” Ele respondeu: “Aqui estou!” 12E o anjo lhe disse: “Não estendas a mão contra teu filho e não lhe faças nenhum mal! Agora sei que temes a Deus, pois não me recusaste teu filho único”. 13Abraão, erguendo os olhos, viu um carneiro preso num espinheiro pelos chifres; foi buscá-lo e ofereceu-o em holocausto no lugar do seu filho. 14Abraão passou a chamar aquele lugar: “O Senhor providenciará”. Donde até hoje se diz: “O monte onde o Senhor providenciará”. 15O anjo do Senhor chamou Abraão, pela segunda vez, do céu 16e lhe disse: “Juro por mim mesmo – oráculo do Senhor –, uma vez que agiste deste modo e não me recusaste teu filho único, 17eu te abençoarei e tornarei tão numerosa tua descendência como as estrelas do céu e como as areias da praia do mar. Teus descendentes conquistarão as cidades dos inimigos. 18Por tua descendência serão abençoadas todas as nações da terra, porque me obedeceste”. 19Abraão tornou para junto dos seus servos, e, juntos, puseram-se a caminho de Bersabeia, onde Abraão passou a morar. – Palavra do Senhor.

Reading of the Book of Genesis 22.1-19 – In those days, 1God put Abraham to the test. Calling him, he said: "Abraham!" And he replied, "Here I am." 2E God said, "Take your only child, ISAAC, whom you love so much, go to the land of Moriá and offer it there in a holocaust over a hill that I appoint thee." 3Abraham Rose very early, sealed the donkey, took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. After having cracked firewood for the Holocaust, he set out on his way to the place that God had commanded him. 4On The third day, Abraham, raising his eyes, saw from afar the place. 5And He said to his servants, "Wait here with the donkey, while me and the boy go there. After we worship God, we will return to you. " 6Abraham took the firewood for the Holocaust and put it on the back of his son Isaac, while he took the fire and the knife. I will walk in the presence of God,/next to him in the land of the living. "I love the Lord, because he hears/the cry of my prayer. /Bent to me his ear/the day I summoned him. "The ropes of death were fastened to me," they squeezed the bonds of the abyss; /Invaded me anguish and sadness,/I then summoned the Lord:/"Save, O Lord, My life!" – The Lord is righteousness and goodness,/our God is amor-compaixão. /It is the Lord who defends the humble:/I was oppressed, and saved me. Em Cristo, Deus reconciliou consigo mesmo a humanidade; / e a nós ele entregou essa reconciliação (2Cor 5,19). – Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus 9,1-8 – Naquele tempo, 1entrando em um barco, Jesus atravessou para a outra margem do lago e foi para a sua cidade. 2Apresentaram-lhe, então, um paralítico deitado numa cama. Vendo a fé que eles tinham, Jesus disse ao paralítico: “Coragem, filho, os teus pecados estão perdoados!” 3Então alguns mestres da lei pensaram: “Esse homem está blasfemando!” 4Mas Jesus, conhecendo os pensamentos deles, disse: “Por que tendes esses maus pensamentos em vossos corações? 5O que é mais fácil, dizer: ‘Os teus pecados estão perdoados’ ou dizer: ‘Levanta-te e anda’? 6Pois bem, para que saibais que o Filho do homem tem, na terra, poder para perdoar pecados” – disse, então, ao paralítico –, “levanta-te, pega a tua cama e vai para a tua casa”. 7O paralítico então se levantou e foi para a sua casa. 8Vendo isso, a multidão ficou com medo e glorificou a Deus, por ter dado tal poder aos homens. – Palavra da salvação.

In Christ, God reconcied himself to mankind; /And to us he delivered this reconciliation (2Cor 5.19). – Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 9.1-8 – At that time, 1entering a boat, Jesus crossed over to the other shore of the lake and went to his city. 2They Introduced him to a paralytic lying on a bed. Seeing the faith they had, Jesus said to the paralytic: "Courage, son, your sins are forgiven!" 3Then Some masters of the law thought, "This man is blaspheming!" 4But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said: "Why do you have these evil thoughts in your hearts? 5O that it is easier to say: ' Your sins are forgiven ' or say, ' Get up and walk '? 6 for ye may know that the son of man has, on earth, power to forgive sins, "he said to the paralytic," stand up, take your bed, and go to your house.
