Jesus called the twelve and began to send them two by two.

Jesus sends his disciples on a mission and gives them the power to drive out unclean spirits. The luggage is sober, just enough to dress and protect your feet. The food must come from the hospitality of the host. No more "hitting cold iron", that is, preaching to those who refuse to listen to the Christian message. In this case, "get out of there dusting your feet". It is a gesture of accusation, as if to say: I walked here and announced the project of God revealed by Jesus; I did my part ... The disciples follow Jesus' directions and confirm his preaching with concrete and beneficial actions (v. 13). And what do we do concretely?

1a. Leitura
– Palavra do Senhor.

1st. Reading
Reading of the first book of Kings 2,1-4.10-12 - 1Near the end of his life, David gave these instructions to his son Solomon: 2 “I will follow the path of all mortals. Be brave and behave like a man. 3 Observe the precepts of the Lord your God, walking in his ways, observing his statutes, his commandments, his precepts and his teachings, as they are written in the law of Moses. And so you will be successful in everything you do and in all your projects. 4Then the Lord will fulfill his promise to me, saying: 'If your children keep a good course, walking loyally before me, with all their heart and with all their soul, you will never lack a successor on the throne of Israel' ”. 10And David fell asleep with his parents and was buried in the city of David. 11The time that David reigned in Israel was forty years: seven years in Hebron and thirty-three in Jerusalem. 12Salomon succeeded his father David on the throne, and his kingdom was solidly established. - Word of the Lord.

Evangelho
Aleluia, aleluia, aleluia.

Gospel
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Convert and believe the gospel, / for the kingdom of God is coming! (Mk 1,15) - Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to Mark 6,7-13 - At that time, 7Jesus called the twelve and began to send them two by two, giving them power over unclean spirits. 8 He recommended that they take nothing to the path, except a staff; no bread, no bag, no money around your waist. 9 He ordered them to wear sandals and not to wear two tunics. 10And Jesus said: “When you enter a house, stay there until you leave. 11If they do not receive you or want to listen to you somewhere, when you go out, shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them! ”12Then the twelve left and preached that all should be converted. 13 They cast out many demons and healed many sick people, anointing them with oil. - Word of salvation.
