Parábola do joio e do trigo.
 Parable of tares and wheat.

Evangelho - Mateus 13,24-30

Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus – Naquele tempo, ²⁴Jesus contou outra parábola à multidão: “O reino dos céus é como um homem que semeou boa semente no seu campo. ²⁵Enquanto todos dormiam, veio seu inimigo, semeou joio no meio do trigo e foi embora. ²⁶Quando o trigo cresceu e as espigas começaram a se formar, apareceu também o joio. ²⁷Os empregados foram procurar o dono e lhe disseram: ‘Senhor, não semeaste boa semente no teu campo? Donde veio então o joio?’ ²⁸O dono respondeu: ‘Foi algum inimigo que fez isso’. Os empregados lhe perguntaram: ‘Queres que vamos arrancar o joio?’ ²⁹O dono respondeu: ‘Não! Pode acontecer que, arrancando o joio, arranqueis também o trigo. ³⁰Deixai crescer um e outro até a colheita! E, no tempo da colheita, direi aos que cortam o trigo: arrancai primeiro o joio e o amarrai em feixes para ser queimado! Recolhei, porém, o trigo no meu celeiro’”. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel - Matthew 13,24-30

Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ According to Matthew - At that time, Jesus told another parable to the crowd: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 While they were all asleep, his enemy came, sowed tares among the wheat, and went away. 26When the wheat grew and the ears began to form, the chaff appeared also. 27The servants went to the owner and said to him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? Where did the tares come from? "The owner replied," It was some enemy who did this. " The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to pluck the tares?' The owner replied, 'No! It may be that by plucking the tares you will also pluck the wheat. 30 Let one grow and another till the harvest! And in the time of the harvest I will say to those who cut the wheat: tear the tares first and bind them in bundles to be burned! But gather the wheat into my barn. '" - Word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

No mundo crescem pessoas boas e pessoas ruins. Ninguém está autorizado a eliminar o outro por considerá-lo errado. Quem é que conhece a intimidade de cada um para avaliar o seu processo de mudança de vida? Sábia é a atitude do proprietário que deixa crescer juntos trigo e joio. Inteligente e soberana é a decisão de Deus em manter a convivência de bons e maus. De fato, tolerante e misericordioso, Deus “faz nascer seu sol sobre malvados e bons, e faz chover sobre justos e injustos” (Mt 5,45). Há sempre a esperança de que muitos se convertam e passem a fazer parte da comunidade de Jesus. No fim, o bem será vitorioso. O fundador dos Padres e Irmãos Paulinos, padre Alberione, recomendava: “Em vez de afobar-se tentando expulsar a escuridão com toalhas, introduza aí um fio de luz”.

Reflecting the Gospel

In the world grow good people and bad people. No one is allowed to eliminate the other because they consider it wrong. Who knows the intimacy of each one to evaluate their life-changing process? Wise is the attitude of the owner who grows wheat and tares together. Intelligent and sovereign is God's decision to keep the coexistence of good and evil. In fact, tolerant and merciful, God "causes his sun to rise on the wicked and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust" (Mt 5:45). There is always hope that many will convert and become part of the community of Jesus. In the end, the good will be victorious. The founder of the Pauline Fathers and Brothers, Fr. Alberione, recommended: "Instead of fidgeting to throw out the darkness with towels, insert a thread of light there".
