Evangelho - Marcos 3,20-35

Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Marcos – Naquele tempo, ²⁰Jesus voltou para casa com os seus dis­cípulos. E de novo se reuniu tanta gente, que eles nem sequer podiam comer. ²¹Quando souberam disso, os pa­rentes de Jesus saíram para agarrá-lo, porque diziam que estava fora de si. ²²Os mestres da lei, que tinham vindo de Jerusalém, diziam que ele estava possuído por Belzebu e que pelo príncipe dos demônios ele ex­pulsava os demônios. ²³Então Jesus os chamou e falou-lhes em parábolas: “Como é que satanás pode expulsar a satanás? ²⁴Se um reino se divide contra si mesmo, ele não poderá manter-se. ²⁵Se uma família se divide contra si mesma, ela não poderá manter-se. ²⁶Assim, se satanás se levanta con­tra si mesmo e se divide, não poderá sobreviver, mas será destruído. ²⁷Ninguém pode entrar na casa de um homem forte, para roubar seus bens, sem antes o amarrar. Só de­pois poderá saquear sua casa. ²⁸Em verdade vos digo, tudo será perdoado aos homens, tanto os pecados como qualquer blasfêmia que tiverem dito. ²⁹Mas quem blasfe­mar contra o Espírito Santo nunca será perdoado; será culpado de um pecado eterno”. ³⁰Jesus falou isso porque diziam: “Ele está pos­suído por um espírito mau”. ³¹Nisso chegaram sua mãe e seus irmãos. Eles ficaram do lado de fora e mandaram chamá-lo. ³²Havia uma multidão sentada ao redor dele. Então lhe disseram: “Tua mãe e teus irmãos estão lá fora à tua procura”. ³³Ele respondeu: “Quem é minha mãe e quem são meus irmãos?” ³⁴E olhando para os que estavam sen­tados ao seu redor, disse: “Aqui es­tão minha mãe e meus irmãos. ³⁵Quem faz a vontade de Deus, esse é meu irmão, minha irmã e minha mãe”. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel - Mark3,20-35

Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ According to Mark - At that time, Jesus came home with his disciples. And again so many people gathered that they could not even eat. 21 When they heard this, the relatives of Jesus went out to take him, because they said that he was beside himself. 22The teachers of the law, who had come from Jerusalem, said that he was possessed by Beelzebub, and that by the prince of demons he cast out devils. 23Then Jesus called them and spoke to them in parables, "How can Satan drive out Satan? 24If a kingdom divides against itself, it can not be maintained. 25 If a family divides itself against itself, it can not be maintained. So, if satan rises against himself and divides himself, he can not survive, but he will be destroyed. 27 No one can enter the house of a strong man to steal his goods without first tying him up. Only then can he plunder his house. 28 Verily I say unto you, all things shall be forgiven unto men, both sins and any blasphemy which they have spoken. 29But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; will be guilty of an eternal sin. " 30Jesus said this because they said, "He is possessed by an evil spirit." 31In this came his mother and his brothers. They stood outside and sent for him. There was a crowd sitting around him. Then they said to him, "Your mother and your brothers are out there looking for you." 33 He answered, "Who is my mother and who are my brothers?" 34And she looked at those who were sitting around her and said, "Here are my mother and my brothers. Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother. " - Word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

Diante da prática de Jesus, salta aos olhos uma interrogação: Quem é ele? Fala com autoridade, suas palavras fascinam e amedrontam; as multidões o procuram, outros o rejeitam; expulsa demônios, faz curas. Muitos procuram desacreditá-lo, dizendo que está possuído de um poder diabólico. Até seus familiares o consideram louco. Por fim, sem desprezar ou negar os vínculos familiares, propõe novo modelo de família: pessoas que vivem a fraternidade e o amor, fortalecidas pela palavra de Deus. Cumprir a vontade do Pai está acima de qualquer coisa, até da própria família de sangue. Os laços familiares e os outros vínculos não são fundamentais; qualquer pessoa que adere a Jesus e compartilha seus ideais faz parte de sua família, formando uma fraternidade universal. Para ser irmão de Jesus, não há privilégios estabelecidos. A fidelidade a Jesus nos torna irmãos e irmãs dele. O projeto de Jesus deseja vida digna para todos, quem se coloca fora desse projeto, coloca-se fora da graça de Deus e do perdão.

Reflecting the Gospel

Before the practice of Jesus, a question crosses the eyes: Who is he? He speaks with authority, his words fascinate and frighten; the multitudes seek it, others reject it; drives out demons, heals. Many seek to discredit him by saying that he is possessed of devilish power. Even his family thinks he's crazy. Finally, without neglecting or denying family ties, he proposes a new family model: people who live in fraternity and love, strengthened by the word of God. Fulfilling the will of the Father is above anything, even the blood family itself. Family ties and other bonds are not fundamental; anyone who adheres to Jesus and shares his ideals is part of his family, forming a universal fraternity. To be a brother of Jesus, there are no established privileges. Faithfulness to Jesus makes us his brothers and sisters. The plan of Jesus desires a dignified life for all, who places himself outside of this project, places himself outside the grace of God and forgiveness.

Expect Israel for the Lord / but watch for the dawn! / For in the Lord is found all grace / abundant redemption. / He comes to deliver Israel / all his guilt. Psalm 129/130.
