Parábola do pai e seus dois filhos.
Parable of the father and his two sons.

Evangelho -
Lucas 15,1-3.11-32

E começaram a festa.

Gospel - Luke 15,1-3.11-32
Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke - At that time, publicans and sinners were coming to hear Jesus. 2The Pharisees, however, and the teachers of the law criticized Jesus, "This man welcomes sinners and makes a meal with them." 3Then Jesus told them this parable: 11 "A man had two sons. 12The younger son said to his father, "Father, give me the inheritance that belongs to me." And the father divided the goods between them. A few days later, the younger son gathered what was his and departed to a distant place. And there he squandered everything in an unbridled life. 14When he had spent all he had, there was a great famine in that region, and he began to suffer. 15Then he asked for a man of the place, who sent him into his field to look after the pigs. The boy wanted to kill the hunger with the food that the pigs ate, but they did not give it to him. 17And he fell upon himself, and said, How many of my father's servants have plenty of bread, and I am famished. 18I am going away, I will return to my father and say to him: 'Father, I have sinned against God and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son. Treat me like one of your employees. ' 20Then he departed and returned to his father. When he was still far away, his father saw him and felt compassion. She ran to meet him, hugged him, and covered him with kisses. 21 Then the son said to him, "Father, I have sinned against God and against you. I no longer deserve to be called your son. ' 22But the father said to the servants, "Bring the best robe to my son. And put a ring on your finger and sandals on your feet. 23I have laid a fat young bullock and slay him. Let's have a feast. 24For this my son was dead, and he liveth again; was lost and was found '. And they started the party. 25The eldest son was in the field. On his way back, close to home, he heard music and dancing. 26Then he called one of the servants and asked what was going on. 27The servant replied, "It is your brother who has returned. Your father killed the fatted calf, because he recovered it with health. ' But he got angry and did not want to come in. The father, coming out, insisted with him. 29 But he said to his father, "I have labored for you for so many years, I have not disobeyed you. And you never gave me a kid to celebrate with my friends. 30When this son of yours, who has lavished your goods with prostitutes, you kill the fatted calf for him. ' 31And the father said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that is mine is thine. 32But it was necessary to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has lived again; was lost and was found. ' - Word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

Reflecting the Gospel
Malvist and despised by the ruling class, tax collectors and sinners listened to Jesus. Pharisees and lawyers criticized Jesus for having a meal with sinners. For one and another Jesus tells the parable of the merciful father. Even experiencing the pain of separation, the father lets the younger son go. Definitely, since the son had asked for the breakdown of the inheritance. Goes away, does not prosper; on the contrary, it fails, it goes hungry. He repents and decides to return. And it does. The father receives him with open arms, and promotes him a great feast. It is the heavenly Father who rejoices at the return of one who has gone astray. The eldest son is angry about his brother's return. Figure of the chiefs, who could not bear the gestures of mercy of Jesus on behalf of sinners.

Rezando
Salmo 102/103.

Rezando
Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all my being, his holy name! / Bless my soul to the Lord, / do not forget any of his favors! For he forgives thee all guilt / and heals all thy sickness; / from the grave he saves your life / and surrounds you with affection and compassion. He does not keep repeating his grievances, nor keeps his grudge forever. / It does not treat us as our faults require, nor punish us in proportion to our faults. As the heavens rise above the earth, so great is his love to those who fear him; How far away is the spring from the west, so far, far from our crimes. Psalm 102/103.
