🇧🇷 Evangelho do Dia 25/03/2018 🇺🇸 Daily Gospel 03/25/2018

In fact, this man was Son of God!

Evangelho -
Marcos 15,1-39 - Domingo de Ramos
N (Narrador):
Levaram Jesus amarrado e o entregaram a Pilatos. 2E Pilatos o interrogou:

L (Leitor): Tu és o rei dos judeus?

N: Jesus respondeu:

P (Presidente): Tu o dizes.

N: 3E os sumos sacerdotes faziam muitas acusações contra Jesus. 4Pilatos o interrogou novamente:

L: Nada tens a responder?

N: 13Mas eles tornaram a gritar:

G (Grupo ou assembleia): Crucifica-o!

N: 14Pilatos perguntou:

L: Mas que mal ele fez?

N: Eles, porém, gritaram com mais força:

G: Crucifica-o!

Gospel - Mark 15,1-39
N (Narrator): Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Mark - 1And in the morning the chief priests, and the elders, and the teachers of the law, and all the council, gathered themselves together, and made a decision. They took Jesus bound and delivered him to Pilate. 2 And Pilate questioned him,L (Reader): Are you the king of the Jews?N: Jesus replied:P (President): You say so.N: 3And the high priests made many accusations against Jesus. 4Pilatos questioned him again:L: Nothing you have to answer? See how much they accuse you!N: 5 But Jesus answered no more, so that Pilate was astonished. 6 At the Passover, Pilate would release the prisoner they asked for. 7And there was a prisoner, named Barabbas, among the bandits, who in a revolt had committed murder. 8And the multitude went up to Pilate, and began to ask him to do as he wished. 9Pilatos asked:L: Do you want me to release the king of the Jews?N: 10He knew well that the high priests had delivered Jesus out of envy. 11But the high priests stirred up the multitude so that Pilate might release Barabbas to them. 12Pilatos asked again:L: What do you want me to do with the king of the Jews?N: 13But they cried again, saying,G (Group or Assembly): Crucify Him!N: 14Pilatos asked:L: But what evil did he do?N: But they shouted with more force:G: Crucify him!N: 15Pilatos, wanting to satisfy the crowd, released Barabbas, had Jesus scourged, and delivered him to be crucified. 16Then the soldiers took him into the palace, that is, the praetorium, and summoned the entire army. 17When Jesus saw a red robe, they wove a crown of thorns and put it on his head. 18And they began to salute him:G: Hail, King of the Jews!N: 19 They hit him on the head with a stick. They spat on him, and bowed their knees, and fell down before him. 20After they had mocked Jesus, they took off his red robe, dressed him again in his own clothes, and carried him out to crucify him. 21The soldiers forced a certain Simon of Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to return from the field to carry the cross. They took Jesus to the place called Golgotha, which means "Calvary." 23 And wine was mixed with myrrh, but he did not drink it. 24Then they crucified him and divided his clothes, taking his lot, to see which part belonged to each one. 25Now it was nine o'clock in the morning when they crucified him. 26And there was an inscription with the reason of his condemnation: "The king of the Jews." 27With Jesus were crucified two thieves, one on the right hand and the other on the left. (28) 29And they that passed by insulted him, shaking their heads and saying,G: Ah! You who destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, 30 save yourself from the cross!N: 31And the chief priests with the teachers of the law mocked one another, saying,G: To others he saved, he can not save himself! 32The Messiah, the king of Israel ... come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe!N: Those who were crucified with him also insulted him. 33And when noon was come, there was darkness over all the earth, until three o'clock in the evening. At about three in the afternoon Jesus cried with a loud voice:P: Eloi, Eloi, lamá sabactâni?N: What do you mean, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" 35 Some of the people standing nearby heard him saying,G: Look, he's calling Elijah!N 36: And he ran and dipped a sponge in vinegar, and put it on the end of a rod, and gave him to drink, saying,L: Let it go! Let's see if Elijah comes to take him off the cross.N: 37Then Jesus cried out and breathed his last.Everyone kneels or bows for a moment.N: 38Now this time the curtain of the sanctuary was torn from top to bottom, in two parts. 39And when the officer of the army, which was right before him, saw how Jesus had expired, he said,L: Indeed, this man was the Son of God!N: Word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

Reflecting the Gospel
Frustrating the messianic expectation of the multitude, Jesus does not enter Jerusalem triumphantly but on a colt, transporting the poor, thus asserting their peaceful messianism, and fulfilling the prophecy of Zechariah. Jesus is the first to fulfill this prophecy, for no one had yet mounted the colt, reserved for the peaceful king. It is a denunciation of past history, usually characterized by violence and domination. Jesus did not come to dominate, but to proclaim the kingdom of peace, fraternity and justice. The acclamation corresponds to the messianic expectation of the people: a messiah, a new David, who comes to save (hosana = saves us). Enthusiasm takes over the procession that accompanies Jesus. He is the manifestation of God, he is the true Messiah, who came to bring salvation to mankind. Upon entering the city, Jesus presents himself, not as a warrior king, but as a simple, humble and peaceful man, who establishes the realm of true justice.

Rezando
Salmo 21/22.

Rezando
All those who see me laugh at me, / They twist their lips and shake their heads: / "The Lord has trusted himself, let him free / and now save him, if indeed he loves him!" Numerous dogs surrounded me furiously, and I was surrounded by a band of wicked men. / They pierced my hands and my feet, / and I can count all my bones. They divide my garments among themselves, and draw my tunic among them. But you, O my Lord, do not stay far away, my strength, come quickly to my rescue! I will announce your name to my brothers and in the midst of the assembly I will praise you! / You who fear the Lord God, give him praise, † glorify him, descendants of Jacob, / and respect him, all the race of Israel! Psalm 21/22.
