1a. Leitura - Provérbios 31,10-13.19-20.30-31

Leitura do livro dos Provérbios – ¹⁰ Uma mulher forte, quem a encontrará? Ela vale muito mais do que as joias. ¹¹ Seu marido confia nela plenamente e não terá falta de recursos. ¹² Ela lhe dá só alegria e nenhum desgosto, todos os dias de sua vida. ¹³ Procura lã e linho, e com habilidade trabalham as suas mãos. ¹⁹ Estende a mão para a roca, e seus dedos seguram o fuso. ²⁰ Abre suas mãos ao necessitado e estende suas mãos ao pobre. ³⁰ O encanto é enganador e a beleza é passageira; a mulher que teme ao Senhor, essa, sim, merece louvor. ³¹ Proclamem o êxito de suas mãos, e na praça louvem-na as suas obras! – Palavra do Senhor.

Evangelho - Mateus 25,14-30

Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus – Naquele tempo, Jesus contou esta parábola a seus discípulos: ¹⁴ “Um homem ia viajar para o estrangeiro. Chamou seus empregados e lhes entregou seus bens. ¹⁵ A um deu cinco talentos, a outro deu dois e ao terceiro, um; a cada qual de acordo com a sua capacidade. Em seguida viajou. ¹⁶ O empregado que havia recebido cinco talentos saiu logo, trabalhou com eles e lucrou outros cinco. ¹⁷ Do mesmo modo, o que havia recebido dois lucrou outros dois. ¹⁸ Mas aquele que havia recebido um só saiu, cavou um buraco na terra e escondeu o dinheiro do seu patrão. ¹⁹ Depois de muito tempo, o patrão voltou e foi acertar contas com os empregados. ²⁰ O empregado que havia recebido cinco talentos entregou-lhe mais cinco, dizendo: ‘Senhor, tu me entregaste cinco talentos. Aqui estão mais cinco que lucrei’. ²¹ O patrão lhe disse: ‘Muito bem, servo bom e fiel! Como foste fiel na administração de tão pouco, eu te confiarei muito mais. Vem participar da minha alegria!’ ²² Chegou também o que havia recebido dois talentos e disse: ‘Senhor, tu me entregaste dois talentos. Aqui estão mais dois que lucrei’. ²³ O patrão lhe disse: ‘Muito bem, servo bom e fiel! Como foste fiel na administração de tão pouco, eu te confiarei muito mais. Vem participar da minha alegria!’ ²⁴ Por fim, chegou aquele que havia recebido um talento e disse: ‘Senhor, sei que és um homem severo, pois colhes onde não plantaste e ceifas onde não semeaste. ²⁵ Por isso fiquei com medo e escondi o teu talento no chão. Aqui tens o que te pertence’. ²⁶ O patrão lhe respondeu: ‘Servo mau e preguiçoso! Tu sabias que eu colho onde não plantei e ceifo onde não semeei? ²⁷ Então devias ter depositado meu dinheiro no banco, para que, ao voltar, eu recebesse com juros o que me pertence’. ²⁸ Em seguida, o patrão ordenou: ‘Tirai dele o talento e dai-o àquele que tem dez! ²⁹ Porque a todo aquele que tem será dado mais, e terá em abundância, mas daquele que não tem, até o que tem lhe será tirado. ³⁰ Quanto a este servo inútil, jogai-o lá fora, na escuridão. Aí haverá choro e ranger de dentes!’” – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel - Mattews 25,14-30
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew – at that time, Jesus told this parable to his disciples: 14 "a man was traveling abroad. Refletindo o Evangelho  

Jesus se serve do campo da economia para explicar o mistério do Reino de Deus. Enquanto estão neste mundo, os cristãos precisam produzir frutos de justiça, conforme as capacidades que receberam. Ao retornar, a qualquer momento e no fim dos tempos, o patrão (Jesus) pede contas da administração. Cada talento corresponde a enorme quantia. Os dois primeiros servos fazem seus talentos (seus dons) se multiplicar. O prêmio é conviver com o patrão (Deus). O terceiro servo, ao invés, fez mau uso do talento. Defendeu-se, pondo a culpa na exigência do patrão, que o qualificou como “servo mau e preguiçoso”, e o castigou com palavras duras: “fora”, “escuridão”, “choro e ranger de dentes”. É uma forma figurada para indicar que a vida perdeu o sentido. Como estamos aplicando a vida que de Deus recebemos?

Reflecting the Gospel 

Jesus serves the field of Economics to explain the mystery of the Kingdom of God. While you are in this world, Christians need to produce fruits of Justice, as the skills that they have received. Upon return, at any time and in the end times, the boss (Jesus) asks the administration accounts. Each talent matches the huge sum. The first two servants make their talents (your gifts) multiply. The prize is live with the boss (God). The third servant, instead, made poor use of talent. Defended himself, putting the blame on the boss ' requirement, that qualified as "bad and lazy servant", and punished with harsh words: "off", "darkness", "weeping and gnashing of teeth". Is a figurative form to indicate that life has lost its meaning. How we're applying the life of God we received?
