Senhor, aumentai a nossa fé!
Lord, increase our faith!

1a. Leitura - Sabedoria 1,1-7

Início do livro da Sabedoria – ¹ Amai a justiça, vós que governais a terra; tende bons sentimentos para com o Senhor e procurai-o com simplicidade de coração. ² Ele se deixa encontrar pelos que não exigem provas e se manifesta aos que nele confiam. ³ Pois os pensamentos perversos afastam de Deus; e seu poder, posto à prova, confunde os insensatos. ⁴ A sabedoria não entra numa alma que trama o mal nem mora num corpo sujeito ao pecado. ⁵ O espírito santo, que a ensina, foge da astúcia, afasta-se dos pensamentos insensatos e retrai-se quando sobrevém a injustiça. ⁶ Com efeito, a sabedoria é o espírito que ama os homens, mas não deixa sem castigo quem blasfema com seus próprios lábios, pois Deus é testemunha dos seus pensamentos, investiga seu coração segundo a verdade e mantém-se à escuta da sua língua; ⁷ porque o espírito do Senhor enche toda a terra, mantém unidas todas as coisas e tem conhecimento de tudo o que se diz. – Palavra do Senhor.

1st Reading - Sirac 1,1-7

Evangelho - Lucas 17,1-6

Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas – Naquele tempo, ¹ Jesus disse a seus discípulos: “É inevitável que aconteçam escândalos. Mas ai daquele que produz escândalos! ² Seria melhor para ele que lhe amarrassem uma pedra de moinho no pescoço e o jogassem no mar do que escandalizar um desses pequeninos. ³ Prestai atenção: se o teu irmão pecar, repreende-o. Se ele se converter, perdoa-lhe. ⁴ Se ele pecar contra ti sete vezes num só dia e sete vezes vier a ti, dizendo: ‘Estou arrependido’, tu deves perdoá-lo”. ⁵ Os apóstolos disseram ao Senhor: “Aumenta a nossa fé!” ⁶ O Senhor respondeu: “Se vós tivésseis fé, mesmo pequena como um grão de mostarda, poderíeis dizer a esta amoreira: ‘Arranca-te daqui e planta-te no mar’, e ela vos obedeceria”. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel - Luke 16,9-15

Refletindo o Evangelho  

Três ensinamentos de Jesus. Bem práticos à nossa vida cotidiana, aos nossos relacionamentos e tudo aquilo que vivemos inseridos na sociedade. O primeiro deles é evitar o escândalo. O que é o escândalo? É aquilo que fazemos e causa pecado no outro e o leva a pecar. Devemos de todas as maneiras evitar escandalizar o outro, tendo comportamentos e atitudes que não edificam o próximo, ou seja, é preciso vigilância sobre os nossos atos, sobre aquilo que nós fazemos. Muitos podem pensar: “O outro não tem nada a ver com a minha vida”. Tem! Se a nossa missão é testemunhar, não podemos ser um contra testemunho do Evangelho, daquilo que cremos e acreditamos. A segunda coisa é a necessidade do perdão, como regra fundamental de vida. Aqui está uma coisa muito importante: Deus não se cansa de nos perdoar, Ele nunca nega o Seu perdão, quando arrependidos vamos buscar o perdão. Só não existe perdão para o pecado que não é lamentado. Se não nos arrependemos daquele pecado, ele não está perdoado. Não é automático: “Já peguei, Deus me perdoou”. Não é assim! Precisamos nos arrepender e na contrição buscar o perdão de Deus, e Ele nos dará. E a terceira é a fé, viveremos isso se formos regados e cuidados pela fé. Ela pode ser pequena como um grão de mostarda, mas não importa o tamanho, o que importa mesmo é que tenhamos fé. Com a fé, viveremos de forma correta, justa; teremos forças para perdoar e evitar escândalo, pois a fé dirige, governa e direciona os nossos passos. Alimentemos a nossa fé para vivê-la e dar um verdadeiro testemunho dela, não para sermos a causa de queda de alguém, e sim, com o auxílio da fé perdoarmos uns aos outros.
