Who seeks to gain your life will lose her.

1a. Leitura - Sabedoria 13,1-9
– Palavra do Senhor.

1st Reading - Wisdom 13,1-9
Reading the book of Wisdom - 1 Are foolish by nature all men who ignore the God, who, starting from the visible goods, were not able to meet one that is; nor, for the consideration of the works, came to recognize the artificer. 2 have taken by gods, by Governors of the world, the fire and the wind, the air elusive, turning the stars, wild water, the lights of day. 3, delighted by your beauty, took these creatures by gods, recognize as your Lord is above them because it was the author who created beauty. 4 If you were amazed with your power and your activity, complete then the more powerful is that the formed: 5 in fact, from the grandeur and beauty of the creatures, one can see, by analogy, the one who created it. 6 However, these deserve a lesser reprimand: maybe they lost looking for the God and wanting to find him. 7 indeed, living among his work, looking for him, but let yourself be seduced by the appearance as it is beautiful that you see! 8 still, nor they can forgive, 9 because, if reached so vast science, about to investigate the universe, how does not find more easily your Lord? -The word of the Lord.

Evangelho - Lucas 17,26-37

Gospel - Luke 17,20-25
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke-at that time, Jesus said to his disciples: 26 "As happened in the days of Noah, so too shall come to pass in the days of the son of man. 27 they ate, drank, got married and got along in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the Ark. Then came the deluge, and did they all die. 28 will happen as in the days of lot: they ate and drank, bought and sold, planted and built. 29 But on the day that lot went out of Sodom, God rained fire and brimstone from heaven and did die. 30 the same will happen on the day when the son of man is revealed. 31 on that day, whoever is on the roof don't stoop to pick up the goods that are in your home. And who are in the camps do not come back. 32 remember Lot's wife. 33 those seeking gain your life will lose it, and whoever loses it will preserve it. 34 I say unto you, that night two will be in a bed: one will be taken and the other will be left. 35 2 women will be grinding together: one will be taken and the other will be left. 36 2 men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other will be left. 37 The disciples asked: "Sir, where will happen?" Jesus answered: "Where are the dead body, there the vultures will gather. -The word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho
Onde a pessoa estiver.

Reflecting the Gospel
By two comparisons, Jesus invites his disciples to be always prepared for the encounter with God. Who live busy only with their personal projects, without worrying about the practice of Justice and fraternity, will be surprised how the contemporaries of Noah and Lot. The arrival of the son of man will be improvising as the lightning. There will be no time for last-minute changes; who practiced the justice will save. The separation between the just and on the unjust will reach the most intimate relationships, such as marriage (bed) and labour (women grinding together). Where is the trial? Where the person is. Each will see the truth of yourself in front of the mirror that is Jesus, because it expressed the whole project of God for mankind. Salvation is built day by day.
