Evangelho - Lucas 12,13-21
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke - at that time, 13 someone, the crowd said to Jesus, "teacher, tell my brother to share the inheritance with me." 14 Jesus answered: "Man, who instructed me to judge or to divide your possessions?" 15 and he said to them: "Attention! Take care against all kinds of greed, because, even if someone has a lot of things, a man's life does not consist in the abundance of goods ". 16 and he told them a parable: "the land of a man Rico gave a great harvest. 17 he thought to himself, ' what am I going to do? I have no where to store my harvest '. 18 Then decided: ' I know what to do! I will tear down my barns and build greater; in them I will save all my wheat, along with my property. 19 then I can say to myself: my dear, you have a good reserve for many years. Rest, eat, drink, enjoy! ' 20 But God said to him, ' fool! Yet tonight, will ask back your life. And who will get what you've accumulated? ' so it is with 21 who gathers treasures for yourself, but it's not Rico before God ". -The word of salvation.
Are proverbial fights because of Division of inheritance. Jesus well knew this reality which, by the way, runs the centuries. The question of an heir offers the occasion for Jesus to teach us about the need to live desapegados of worldly goods: "Avoid every kind of greed". By Rico it's someone else, "your life is not guaranteed for their goods". Often we see, by the media, which many rich people are spending fortunes to cure yourself of cancer. All amount invested in treatment is not able to defeat the disease. Money called money, wealth produces wealth, warehouse full of merchandise requires more crowded warehouses. What is all this? Important, says Jesus, is be Rico for God. We must ask: how I'm managing the gift of life that God gave me.

Lc 1.
