resolveu: ‘Já sei o que fazer! Vou derrubar meus celeiros e construir
maiores; neles vou guardar todo o meu trigo, junto com os meus bens. 19 Então poderei dizer a mim mesmo: Meu caro, tu tens uma boa reserva para muitos anos. Descansa, come, bebe, aproveita!’ 20 Mas Deus lhe disse: ‘Louco! Ainda nesta noite, pedirão de volta a tua vida. E para quem ficará o que tu acumulaste?’ 21 Assim acontece com quem ajunta tesouros para si mesmo, mas não é rico diante de Deus”. – Palavra da salvação.

Refletindo o Evangelho
São proverbiais as brigas por causa de repartição de herança. Jesus
bem conhecia essa realidade que, pelo jeito, corre os séculos. A
pergunta de um herdeiro oferece a ocasião para Jesus nos ensinar sobre a
necessidade de vivermos desapegados dos bens terrenos: “Evitem todo
tipo de ganância”. Por mais rico que seja alguém, “sua vida não é
garantida pelos seus bens”. Não raro vemos, pela mídia, que muitos
ricaços se desdobram gastando fortunas para curar-se de um câncer. Toda a
quantia investida no tratamento não é capaz de derrotar a doença.
Dinheiro chama dinheiro, riqueza produz riqueza, armazém lotado de
mercadoria exige mais armazéns lotados. Para que tudo isso? Importante,
diz Jesus, é ser rico para Deus. Cabe-nos perguntar: como estou
administrando o dom da vida que Deus me deu?
