1a. Leitura - Romanos 4,13.16-18
Leitura da carta de são Paulo aos Romanos – Irmãos, 13 não foi por causa da lei, mas por causa da justiça que vem da fé, que Deus prometeu o mundo como herança a Abraão ou à sua descendência. 16 É em virtude da fé que alguém se torna herdeiro. Logo, a condição de herdeiro é uma graça, um dom gratuito, e a promessa de Deus continua valendo para toda a descendência de Abraão, tanto para a descendência que se apega à lei quanto para a que se apoia somente na fé de Abraão, que é o pai de todos nós. 17 Pois está escrito: “Eu fiz de ti pai de muitos povos”. Ele é pai diante de Deus porque creu em Deus, que vivifica os mortos e faz existir o que antes não existia. 18 Contra toda a humana esperança, ele firmou-se na esperança e na fé. Assim, tornou-se pai de muitos povos, conforme lhe fora dito: “Assim será a tua posteridade”. – Palavra do Senhor.
1st Reading - Romans 4,13.16-18
Reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Romans – Brothers, 13 was not because of the law, but because of the righteousness that comes from faith, which God has promised the world as inheritance to Abraham or to your offspring. 16 is because of the faith that someone becomes heir. Soon, the condition of heir is a grace, a free gift, and the promise of God still stands for all the seed of Abraham, for both the offspring who clings to the law as to which rests only on the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all. 17 for it is written: "I made you a father of many Nations". He is the father in front of God because God, who quickeneth believed the dead and do exist what did not exist. 18 Against all human hope, he signed in hope and faith. Thus became the father of many people, as you said, "so shall your seed". -The word of the Lord.

Mas quem blasfemar contra o Espírito Santo não será perdoado. 11 Quando vos conduzirem diante das sinagogas, magistrados e autoridades, não fiqueis preocupados em como ou com que vos defendereis ou com o que direis. 12 Pois nessa hora o Espírito Santo vos ensinará o que deveis dizer”. – Palavra da salvação.

Refletindo o Evangelho
Declarar-se por alguém diante dos anjos é o mesmo que defender o ingresso desse alguém na esfera do Pai celeste. É o que faz Jesus em favor dos seus fiéis seguidores. E o que é blasfemar contra o Espírito Santo? Sabemos que toda a vida e as obras de Jesus se desenrolam sob a ação do Espírito. Já o dizia o próprio Jesus no início de sua missão: “O Espírito do Senhor está sobre mim…” (Lc 4,18). Ora, dizer que Jesus age pelo poder de Satanás (cf. Lc 11,15) é blasfemar contra o Espírito Santo. É como chamar o Espírito Santo de Satanás, sendo justamente Satanás o inimigo declarado de Jesus. Quem ofende a Jesus poderá obter perdão, afinal as pessoas são lentas para crer que ele é o Filho de Deus. Mas atribuir o Bem ao Maligno, isso é imperdoável. Vai contra a evidência e a reta intenção. É um fechamento total.
