Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas – Naquele tempo, 18Jesus dizia: “A que é semelhante o reino de Deus e com que poderei compará-lo? 19Ele é como a semente de mostarda, que um homem pega e atira no seu jardim. A semente cresce, torna-se uma grande árvore, e as aves do céu fazem ninhos nos seus ramos”. 20Jesus disse ainda: “Com que poderei ainda comparar o reino de Deus? 21Ele é como o fermento que uma mulher pega e mistura com três porções de farinha, até que tudo fique fermentado”. – Palavra da salvação.

Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke - At that time, Jesus said, "To what is the kingdom of God similar and with which can I compare it? He is like the mustard seed, which a man takes and shoots in his garden. The seed grows, it becomes a great tree, and the birds of the sky make nests in its branches. " 20Jesus said, "How can I compare the kingdom of God? 21It is like the yeast that a woman takes and mixes with three portions of flour, until everything is fermented. " - Word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho 

A semente de mostarda e o fermento, aparentemente insignificantes, são elementos que encerram promessa de crescimento e grandeza. Contêm vitalidade. O Reino de Deus é assim: traz na sua essência o dinamismo do Espírito Santo. Ninguém vê nem conhece o processo de crescimento do Reino e da Igreja, mas os resultados aparecem. É no coração das pessoas que se dá o movimento de adesão a Cristo. E isso se dá em ritmo lento, empenhativo. Jesus não se impõe; simplesmente propõe e aguarda com paciência a resposta positiva dos seus possíveis discípulos. Pessoas humildes e frágeis constituem o germe da salvação universal: com o poder de Deus, tornam-se capazes de cristianizar a grande massa humana. Cabe-nos perseverar na prática cotidiana do bem. Reflecting the Gospel 

The seemingly insignificant mustard seed and yeast are elements that hold promise of growth and greatness. They contain vitality. The Kingdom of God is like this: it brings in its essence the dynamism of the Holy Spirit. No one sees or knows the process of growth of the Kingdom and the Church, but the results appear. It is in the hearts of people that the movement of adherence to Christ is given. And this happens in a slow, engaging rhythm. Jesus does not impose himself; simply proposes and patiently awaits the positive response of his possible disciples. Humble and fragile people constitute the germ of universal salvation: with the power of God, they become capable of Christianizing the great human mass. It is up to us to persevere in the daily practice of good. In due time the fruits will come forth.
