"Lucas 10,17-24. Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas – Naquele tempo, ¹⁷os setenta e dois voltaram muito contentes, dizendo: “Senhor, até os demônios nos obedeceram por causa do teu nome”. ¹⁸Jesus respondeu: “Eu vi satanás cair do céu como um relâmpago. ¹⁹Eu vos dei o poder de pisar em cima de cobras e escorpiões e sobre toda a força do inimigo. E nada vos poderá fazer mal. ²⁰Contudo, não vos alegreis porque os espíritos vos obedecem. Antes, ficai alegres porque vossos nomes estão escritos no céu”. ²¹Naquele momento, Jesus exultou no Espírito Santo e disse: “Eu te louvo, Pai, Senhor do céu e da terra, porque escondeste essas coisas aos sábios e inteligentes e as revelaste aos pequeninos. Sim, Pai, porque assim foi do teu agrado. ²²Tudo me foi entregue pelo meu Pai. Ninguém conhece quem é o Filho, a não ser o Pai; e ninguém conhece quem é o Pai, a não ser o Filho e aquele a quem o Filho o quiser revelar”. ²³Jesus voltou-se para os discípulos e disse-lhes em particular: “Felizes os olhos que veem o que vós vedes! ²⁴Pois eu vos digo que muitos profetas e reis quiseram ver o que estais vendo e não puderam ver; quiseram ouvir o que estais ouvindo e não puderam ouvir”. – Palavra da salvação."

"Sucesso na missão, alegria geral. A alegria é um tema que atravessa todo o evangelho de Lucas. Numerosas são as pessoas que experimentam profunda alegria, procedente do Espírito Santo, a começar por Maria, que exclama: “Meu espírito se alegra em Deus, meu Salvador, porque olhou para a humilhação de sua serva” (Lc 1,47-48). O próprio Jesus exulta no Espírito Santo, porque os pequeninos deixaram-se envolver pelos mistérios do amor de Deus. Coisas extraordinárias os discípulos haviam realizado pelo poder de Jesus, que os acolhe e participa da alegria deles. Alegria que se intensifica por saberem que seus nomes “estão inscritos nos céus”. Eles estão a serviço da ação misericordiosa de Deus. São seus instrumentos privilegiados. Incentivo a perseverarem colaborando na missão libertadora de Jesus."

Reflecting the Gospel

"Success in mission, general joy. Joy is a theme that runs through the entire gospel of Luke.
