Quem quem me receber estará recebendo aquele que me enviou.

"Lucas 9,46-50 Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas – Naquele tempo, ⁴⁶houve entre os discípulos uma discussão para saber qual deles seria o maior. ⁴⁷Jesus sabia o que estavam pensando. Pegou então uma criança, colocou-a junto de si ⁴⁸e disse-lhes: “Quem receber esta criança em meu nome estará recebendo a mim. E quem me receber estará recebendo aquele que me enviou. Pois aquele que entre todos vós for o menor, esse é o maior”. ⁴⁹João disse a Jesus: “Mestre, vimos um homem que expulsa demônios em teu nome. Mas nós lho proibimos, porque não anda conosco”. ⁵⁰Jesus disse-lhe: “Não o proibais, pois quem não está contra vós está a vosso favor”. – Palavra da salvação."

Jesus knew what they were thinking. And he took a child, and set it before him, and said unto them, He that receiveth this child in my name, shall receive me. And whoever welcomes me will be receiving the one who sent me. For he who is the least among you is the greatest. " John said to Jesus, "Master, we have seen a man casting out devils in your name. But we forbid it, because it does not walk with us. " Jesus said to him, "Do not forbid him, for he who is not against you is for you." - Word of salvation."

Refletindo o Evangelho

"A conversão é processo lento e fatigoso. Várias vezes, Jesus explica aos discípulos qual é a característica do seu messianismo. Ele veio para dar a própria vida por todos. Está entre nós para servir ao Pai e ao povo; não para explorar e ser servido. Surdos às palavras e cegos às atitudes de Jesus, os apóstolos disputam o primeiro lugar. A presença da criança oferece a Jesus imagem forte de simplicidade, pureza, abertura à partilha e à fraternidade. Esses são os valores do Reino que Jesus está implantando e que seus discípulos precisam as- similar. Outro aspecto importante é a tolerância com os de fora do grupo. Não se deve rejeitá-los, mas estabelecer comunhão com eles. Os apóstolos não têm exclusividade sobre a prática do bem."

Reflecting the Gospel

"Conversion is a slow and tiring process. Several times, Jesus explains to the disciples what is the characteristic of his messianism. He came to lay down his life for all. He is among us to serve the Father and the people; not to explore and be served. Deaf to words and blind to Jesus' attitudes, the apostles vie for the first place. The presence of the child offers Jesus a strong image of simplicity, purity, openness to sharing and fraternity. These are the values of the Kingdom that Jesus is implanting and which his disciples need as similar. Another important aspect is tolerance with those outside the group. One should not reject them, but establish communion with them. The apostles have no exclusivity over the practice of good."

"Inclinai o vosso ouvido e escutai-me! Ó Senhor, ouvi a minha justa causa, / escutai-me e atendei o meu clamor! / Inclinai o vosso ouvido à minha prece, / pois não existe falsidade nos meus lábios!
