A vida de um homem não consiste na abundância de bens.
The life of a man does not consist in the abundance of goods.

"Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas 12, 13-21 – Naquele tempo, ¹³alguém, do meio da multidão, disse a Jesus: “Mestre, dizei ao meu irmão que reparta a herança comigo”. ¹⁴Jesus respondeu: “Homem, quem me encarregou de julgar ou de dividir vossos bens?” ¹⁵E disse-lhes: “Atenção! Tomai cuidado contra todo tipo de ganância, porque, mesmo que alguém tenha muitas coisas, a vida de um homem não consiste na abundância de bens”. ¹⁶E contou-lhes uma parábola: “A terra de um homem rico deu uma grande colheita. ¹⁷Ele pensava consigo mesmo: ‘O que vou fazer? Não tenho onde guardar minha colheita’. ¹⁸Então resolveu: ‘Já sei o que fazer! Vou derrubar meus celeiros e construir maiores; neles vou guardar todo o meu trigo, junto com os meus bens. ¹⁹Então poderei dizer a mim mesmo: Meu caro, tu tens uma boa reserva para muitos anos. Descansa, come, bebe, aproveita!’ ²⁰Mas Deus lhe disse: ‘Louco! Ainda nesta noite, pedirão de volta a tua vida. E para quem ficará o que tu acumulaste?’ ²¹Assim acontece com quem ajunta tesouros para si mesmo, mas não é rico diante de Deus”. – Palavra da salvação."

"Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 12: 13-21 - At that time, 13 from the crowd said to Jesus, "Master, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me." 14Jesus answered, "Man, who commissioned me to judge or to divide your goods?" 15And he said to them, "Be careful! Take care against all kinds of greed because, even if one has many things, the life of a man does not consist in the abundance of goods. " 16And he told them a parable: "The land of a rich man gave a great harvest. He thought to himself, 'What am I going to do? I have nowhere to keep my harvest. ' 18Then he said, "I know what to do! I will tear down my granaries and build larger ones; in them I will keep all my corn, and my goods. 19Then I can say to myself, My dear, you have a good reserve for many years. Rest, eat, drink, enjoy! "20But God told him," Fool! Even tonight, they'll ask for your life back. And to whom shall it be that which thou hast accumulated? '21 So it is with him who lays up treasures for himself, but he is not rich before God. " - Word of salvation."

Refletindo o Evangelho

"Jesus faz referência à cobiça pelo dinheiro, mas existem outros tipos de cobiça: pela fama, pelo poder, pelo prazer… Toda a pregação de Jesus valoriza o despojamento, o desapego dos bens materiais, e alerta sobre o perigo de confiar nas riquezas terrenas. “Cuidado! Evitem todo tipo de ganância”. “Felizes são os pobres, porque deles é o Reino dos Céus”. Benfeitor generoso é o samaritano que investe tempo, atenções e dinheiro para acudir o homem ferido à beira do caminho (cf. Lc 10,25-37). A parábola retrata um homem ganancioso que fala sozinho, projetando como aumentar suas posses e lucros. Tentação de todos os tempos. Contas no exterior é um modo de aplicar a exorbitante soma de dinheiro! Só não podemos esquecer que a vida é única e breve sobre a terra. Melhor ser “rico para Deus."

Reflecting the Gospel

"Jesus refers to covetousness for money, but there are other types of greed: fame, power, pleasure ... Jesus' whole preaching emphasizes divestment, detachment from material goods, and warns of the danger of trusting in earthly riches. "Caution! Avoid all kinds of greed. " "Blessed are the poor, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." A generous benefactor is the Samaritan who invests the time, attention and money to go to the wounded man along the way (cf. Lk 10, 25-37). The parable depicts a greedy man speaking to himself, projecting how to increase his possessions and profits. Temptation of all time. Accounts abroad is a way to apply the exorbitant sum of money! We can not forget that life is unique and brief on earth. Better to be "rich to God."
