Evangelho - Lucas 6,20-26

Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas – Naquele tempo, ²⁰Jesus, levantando os olhos para os seus discípulos, disse: “Bem-aventurados vós, os pobres, porque vosso é o reino de Deus! ²¹Bem-aventurados vós, que agora tendes fome, porque sereis saciados! Bem-aventurados vós, que agora chorais, porque havereis de rir! ²²Bem-aventurados sereis quando os homens vos odiarem, vos expulsarem, vos insultarem e amaldiçoarem o vosso nome por causa do Filho do homem! ²³Alegrai-vos, nesse dia, e exultai, pois será grande a vossa recompensa no céu; porque era assim que os antepassados deles tratavam os profetas. ²⁴Mas ai de vós, ricos, porque já tendes vossa consolação! ²⁵Ai de vós, que agora tendes fartura, porque passareis fome! Ai de vós, que agora rides, porque tereis luto e lágrimas! ²⁶Ai de vós quando todos vos elogiam! Era assim que os antepassados deles tratavam os falsos profetas”. – Palavra da salvação.

Blessed are you who now weep, for you will laugh! 22 Blessed are you when men hate you, cast you out, insult you, and curse your name for the Son of man! 23 Rejoice in that day and rejoice, for your reward in heaven will be great; because that was how their ancestors treated the prophets. 24But woe to you who are rich, because you have your consolation! 25Woe to you who now have plenty, because you will go hungry! Woe to you, who now rides, because you will have mourning and tears! 26 Woe to you when all praise you! This was how their ancestors treated the false prophets. " - Word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

Jesus denomina “felizes” os pobres, os que têm fome, os que agora choram e os que são rejeitados “por causa do Filho do Homem”. Podem pular de alegria, “porque é grande a recompensa de vocês no céu”. O céu é a vida de comunhão com Deus. O olhar atento e misericordioso do Pai já pousa sobre as pessoas com essas características. Há, porém, outro grupo de pessoas que ouvem palavras de acusação: os ricos, os que agora são saciados, os que agora riem, os que são elogiados por todos. Não aparece aqui nenhuma condenação. Trata-se, sobretudo, de advertência do Senhor sobre o perigo das riquezas deste mundo. Sempre é tempo de mudar o modo de vida, isto é, passar para o lado dos “felizes”, escolhendo permanecer do lado de Deus. A recompensa não lhes faltará.

Reflecting the Gospel

"Jesus calls the poor the poor, those who are hungry, those who now weep and those who are rejected "for the Son of Man." You can jump for joy, "for your reward is great in heaven." But there is another group of people who hear words of accusation: the rich, those who are now satiated, those who laugh now, those who are praised by all. There is no condemnation here. It is above all a warning from the Lord about the danger of the riches of this world. It is always time to change the way of life, that is, to move to the "happy" side, choosing to remain on God's side. The reward will not fail them."
