Os textos sobre o cisco e a trave são tão claros e eloquentes, que todos podem compreender. Nossa visão é enganosa: vemos com lentes de aumento os defeitos alheios, ao passo que escondemos os nossos. Contra essa tendência maligna é que Jesus nos adverte. Não temos condições para julgar ninguém de modo justo; somente Deus conhece o íntimo das pessoas. Então é necessário empenhar-nos a fim de corrigir nossos erros. Sabia que os defeitos alheios que nos irritam são os nossos próprios defeitos? Vamos nos aperfeiçoar confiando-nos à misericórdia de Deus.
Reflection
The texts on the cisco and the beam are so clear and eloquent, that everyone can understand. Our view is misleading: we see other people's defects with magnifying glasses, while we hide ours. It is against this evil tendency that Jesus warns us. We are not in a position to judge anyone fairly; only God knows the depths of people. So it is necessary to strive to correct our mistakes. Did you know that other people's defects that irritate us are our own defects? We will improve ourselves by entrusting ourselves to the mercy of God.
