Pentecostes
Pentecost

1a.Leitura - At 2,1-11

21 Novamente, Jesus disse: “A paz esteja convosco.

Gospel - Jo 20.19-23
19 at dusk that day, the first of the week, being closed, for fear of the Jews, the doors of the place where the disciples were, Jesus came and stood among them, he said: "peace be with you". 20 after these words, he showed them his hands and side. Then the disciples rejoiced to see the Lord. 21 Again, Jesus said: "peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, I also send you ". 22 and, after having said that, breathed on them and said: "Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 if you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; to those who do not forgive them, they are retained. "

Refletindo o Evangelho

Reflecting the Gospel
Today, the whole Church gathers to celebrate the vigil of Pentecost, to make a great clamor to God, in order that He send upon us your holy spirit. Why do we need the Holy Spirit? To surrender to the word of God, to become servants of his word, to be enlightened by it. Without the spirit, the words become dead; without him, the word of God not even our heart shape building. We need to cry out to the heavens, with all our heart, as the Church gathered at Pentecost cried out for a new Pentecost each day. The Pentecost happens when we surrender to the power of the word of God and allow, through her, the spirit tell us, heal us, transform us, uplifts us, form us and put us to the molded image of Christ Jesus our Lord, whom we serve. Let us lead by the spirit, let us be formed by him, let, really, that the grace of Pentecost happens in our soul, in our hearts, in the life of each of us.
