Qual vai ser o sinal do "fim dos tempos"?

What will be the sign of the "end times"?

Jesus adverte contra os falsos Messias que surgirão dizendo: “Sou eu… o tempo está próximo”. Muitos pensavam que tinha chegado o fim do mundo. Jesus esclarece que “não será logo o fim”. Será o fim apenas de uma fase da história. Jesus amplia o discurso e adverte seus discípulos de que haverá guerras, terremotos, fome e epidemias.

Jesus warns against the false Messiah who will come up saying, "It is me... time is near." Many thought the end of the world had come. Jesus clarifies that "it will not be the end soon." It will be the end of only one phase of history. Jesus broadens his speech and warns his disciples that there will be wars, earthquakes, hunger and epidemics.es unnoticed to him. Only the Lord is able to assess the sincerity of our acts.

Leitura da profecia de Daniel 2,31-45 – Naqueles dias, disse Daniel a Nabucodonosor: 31“Tu, ó rei, olhavas, e pareceu-te ver uma estátua grande, muito alta, erguida à tua frente, de aspecto aterrador. 32A cabeça da estátua era de ouro fino, peito e braços eram de prata, ventre e coxas, de bronze; 33sendo as pernas de ferro, e os pés, parte de ferro e parte de barro. 34Estavas olhando quando uma pedra, sem ser empurrada por ninguém, se desprendeu de algum lugar e veio bater na estátua, em seus pés de ferro e barro, fazendo-os em pedaços; 35então, a um só tempo, despedaçaram-se ferro, barro, bronze, prata e ouro, tudo ficando como a palha miúda das eiras, no verão, que o vento varre sem deixar vestígios; mas a pedra que atingira a estátua transformou-se num grande monte e encheu toda a terra. 36Este foi o sonho; vou dar também a interpretação, ó rei, em tua presença. 37Tu és um grande rei, e o Deus do céu te deu a realeza, o poder, a autoridade e a glória; 38ele entregou em tuas mãos os filhos dos homens, os animais do campo e as aves do céu, onde quer que habitem, e te constituiu senhor de todos eles: tu és a cabeça de ouro. 39Depois de ti, surgirá outro reino, que é inferior ao teu, e ainda um terceiro, que será de bronze e dominará toda a terra. 40O quarto reino será forte como ferro; e assim como o ferro tudo esmaga e domina, do mesmo modo, à semelhança do ferro, ele esmagará e destruirá todos aqueles reinos. 41Viste os pés e dedos dos pés, parte de barro e parte de ferro, porque o reino será dividido; terá a força do ferro, conforme viste o ferro misturado com barro cozido. 42Viste também que os dedos dos pés eram parte de ferro e parte de barro, porque o reino em parte será sólido e em parte quebradiço. 43Quanto ao ferro misturado com barro cozido, haverá decerto ligações por via de casamentos, mas sem coesão entre as partes, assim como o ferro não faz liga com o barro. 44No tempo desses reinos, o Deus do céu suscitará um reino que nunca será destruído, um reino que não passará a outro povo; antes, esmagará e aniquilará todos esses reinos, e ele permanecerá para sempre. 45Quanto à pedra que, sem ser tocada por mãos, se desprendeu do monte e despedaçou o barro cozido, o ferro, o bronze, a prata e o ouro, o grande Deus faz saber ao rei o que acontecerá depois, no futuro. O sonho é verdadeiro, e sua interpretação, fiel”. – Palavra do Senhor.

Reading of Daniel's prophecy 2,31-45 – In those days, Daniel told Nebuchadnezzar: 31"Thou, O king, looked, and seemed to see a large, very tall statue raised in front of you, terrifying in front of you. 32The head of the statue was fine gold, chest and arms were silver, belly and thighs, bronze; 33 being the iron legs, and the feet, iron part and clay part. 34You were looking when a stone, without being pushed by anyone, came out of somewhere and came to hit the statue, on his feet of iron and clay, making them to pieces; 35 then, at once, iron, clay, bronze, silver and gold broke, all getting like the straw of the eiras, in the summer, that the wind sweeps without leaving traces; but the stone that had hit the statue turned into a large hill and filled the entire earth. 36This was the dream; I will also give the interpretation, O king, in your presence. 37Th thou so you are a great king, and the God of heaven has given you royalty, power, authority, and glory; 38 He gave in thy hands the children of men, the animals of the field and the birds of heaven, wherever they dwell, and made you lord of all of them: thou st. the head of gold. 39 After you, another kingdom will arise, which is inferior to thy, and still a third, which shall be bronze and shall dominate all the earth. 40The fourth kingdom will be strong as iron; and just as the iron all crushes and dominates, likewise, like the iron, it will crush and destroy all those kingdoms. 41 You have seen the feet and toes, part of clay and part of iron, for the kingdom shall be divided; will have the strength of the iron, as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay. 42 You also saw that the toes were part of iron and part of clay, because the kingdom will partly be solid and partly brittle. 43 As for iron mixed with baked clay, there will certainly be links via weddings, but without cohesion between the parties, just as the iron does not connect with the clay. 44 In the time of these kingdoms, the God of heaven will awaken a kingdom that will never be destroyed, a kingdom that will not pass to another people; before, he will crush and annihilate all these kingdoms, and he will remain forever. 45 As for the stone which, without being touched by hands, came loose from the hill and shattered the boiled clay, iron, bronze, silver and gold, the great God makes known to the king what will happen next in the future. (Ap 2,10) – Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas 21,5-11 – Naquele tempo, 5algumas pessoas comentavam a respeito do templo que era enfeitado com belas pedras e com ofertas votivas. Jesus disse: 6“Vós admirais estas coisas? Dias virão em que não ficará pedra sobre pedra. Tudo será destruído”. 7Mas eles perguntaram: “Mestre, quando acontecerá isso? E qual vai ser o sinal de que essas coisas estão para acontecer?” 8Jesus respondeu: “Cuidado para não serdes enganados, porque muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: ‘Sou eu!’ E ainda: ‘O tempo está próximo’. Não sigais essa gente! 9Quando ouvirdes falar de guerras e revoluções, não fiqueis apavorados. É preciso que essas coisas aconteçam primeiro, mas não será logo o fim”. 10E Jesus continuou: “Um povo se levantará contra outro povo, um país atacará outro país. 11Haverá grandes terremotos, fomes e pestes em muitos lugares; acontecerão coisas pavorosas e grandes sinais serão vistos no céu”. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Stay true to death, /and the crown of life I will give you! (Rev 2,10) – Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 21,5-11 – At that time, 5some people commented on the temple that was adorned with beautiful stones and votive offerings. Jesus said, 6"Do you admire these things? Days will come when there will be no stone on stone. Everything will be destroyed." 7But they asked, "Master, when will this happen? And what's going to be the sign that these things are about to happen?" 8Jesus replied, "Be careful not to be deceived, for many will come in my name, saying, 'It's me!' And then, 'Time is near.' Don't follow these people! 9 When you hear of wars and revolutions, you were not terrified. These things need to happen first, but it won't be the end soon." 10And Jesus continued: "A people will rise up against another people, a country will attack another country. 11 There will be major earthquakes, famines and pests in many places; terrible things will happen and great signs will be seen in heaven." - Word of salvation.
