Tu receberás a recompensa na ressurreição dos justos.
You will receive the reward in the resurrection of the righteous.

A orientação de Jesus é fazer o bem aos que não podem retribuir com a mesma moeda. Acudir generosamente aos fracos e praticar a caridade desinteressada sem nada esperar em troca. Podemos incluir também entre as dádivas, o tempo, a compreensão, o bom conselho. Além de experimentar alegria pelo gesto em si, seremos beneficiados com a recompensa na “ressurreição dos justos”.

Jesus' guidance is to do good to those who cannot repay with the same coin. Generously to the weak and practice disinterested charity without waiting in return. We can also include among gifts, time, understanding, good advice. In addition to experiencing joy at the gesture itself, we will benefit from the reward in the "resurrection of the righteous".

Leitura da carta de são Paulo aos Romanos 11,29-36 – Irmãos, 29os dons e a vocação de Deus são irrevogáveis. 30Outrora, vós fostes desobedientes a Deus, mas agora alcançastes misericórdia em consequência da desobediência deles. 31Assim são eles agora os desobedientes, para que, em consequência da misericórdia usada convosco, alcancem finalmente misericórdia. 32Com efeito, Deus encerrou todos os homens na desobediência, a fim de exercer misericórdia para com todos. 33Ó profundidade da riqueza, da sabedoria e da ciência de Deus! Como são inescrutáveis os seus juízos e impenetráveis os seus caminhos! 34De fato, quem conheceu o pensamento do Senhor? Ou quem foi seu conselheiro? 35Ou quem se antecipou em dar-lhe alguma coisa, de maneira a ter direito a uma retribuição? 36Na verdade, tudo é dele, por ele e para ele. A ele, a glória para sempre. Reading of St Paul's letter to the Romans 11,29-36 – Brothers, 29th gifts and God's vocation are irrevocable. 30Thou so, you have been disobedient to God, but now you have achieved mercy as a result of their disobedience. 31 So they are now the disobedient, that, as a result of the mercy used with you, they may finally attain mercy. 32 Indeed, God ended all men in disobedience in order to exercise mercy towards all. 33The depth of God's wealth, wisdom, and science! How inscrutable your judgments are and their ways impenetrable! 34 In fact, who knew the thought of the Lord? Or who was your counselor? 35Or who anticipated giving him something, so as to be entitled to retribution? 36 Indeed, it's all his, for him, and for him. To him, glory forever. Amen! " Word of the Lord.

Salmo 68/69

Respondei-me, ó Senhor, pelo vosso imenso amor! 
– de mim, sou infeliz e sofredor! / Que vosso auxílio me levante, Senhor Deus! / Cantando, eu louvarei o vosso nome / e, agradecido, exultarei de alegria!

Answer me, O Lord, for your immense love!

Pois estes poderiam também convidar-te e isso já seria a tua recompensa. 13Pelo contrário, quando deres uma festa, convida os pobres, os aleijados, os coxos, os cegos. 14Então tu serás feliz! Porque eles não te podem retribuir. Tu receberás a recompensa na ressurreição dos justos”. – Palavra da salvação.
