🇧🇷 Reflexão 15/03/2019 🇺🇸 Reflection 03/15/2019

Vai primeiro reconciliar-te com o teu irmão.
Go and reconcile with your brother first.

Reflection
Jesus is forming the first disciples for the new community. It has as its foundation and motivation the practice of love. Love calls for a step forward, a step of quality: "If your righteousness does not overcome the righteousness of the Pharisees and Pharisees, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven." It is not enough not to kill, it is necessary to avoid any attitude that offends or harms the neighbor. Even the liturgical celebration, however satisfying the demands of religion, if it is not accompanied by fraternal reconciliation, can become a beautiful spectacle; a pleasing worship of God it will not be. And whoever presents before the Divine Judge without having forgiven, will be condemned to pay everything, even the "last penny."

1a. Leitura
– oráculo do Senhor Deus. – Palavra do Senhor.

1st. Reading
Reading of the prophecy of Ezekiel 18,21-28 - Thus says the Lord: 21 "If the wicked repent of all their sins, and keep all my laws, and do the law and righteousness, he will live with certainty and will not die." . 22 None of the sins he has committed will be remembered against him. You will live because of the righteousness you have practiced. 23 Shall I delight in the death of the wicked? Saith the Lord God. Do not I rather desire that you change your conduct and live? 24But if the righteous turn from his righteousness and do evil, imitating all the detestable practices done by the wicked, can he do this and live? From the righteousness he has practiced, nothing else will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness and sin which he hath sinned, he shall die for this. 25 But you are saying, 'The conduct of the Lord is not right.' Hear, ye of the house of Israel: Is it my conduct that is not right, or rather is it your conduct that is not right? 26When a righteous man turns from righteousness, does evil, and dies, it is because of the evil done that he dies. 27When a wicked man repents of the wickedness he has committed and observes law and justice, he preserves his life. Repenting of all his sins, he will surely live; he shall not die. " - Word of the Lord.

Evangelho

Gospel
Hail, O Christ, the image of the Father, / the full truth communicates to us!
Cast away all your iniquity far off! / Create in you a new spirit and a new heart! (Eze 18,31)
Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 5,20-26 - At that time Jesus said to his disciples, 20 "If your righteousness is not greater than the righteousness of the teachers of the law and the Pharisees, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven . 21You heard what was said to the ancients: 'You shall not kill! Whoever kills will be condemned by the court. ' 22But I say unto you, every one that is angry with his brother shall be guilty in judgment; anyone who says to his brother 'rascal' will be condemned by the court; whoever calls a fool's brother will be condemned to the fire of hell. 23Then when you are taking your offering to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar and go first to reconcile with your brother. Only then will present your offer. 25See to be reconciled to your adversary as you walk with you to the tribunal. Otherwise the adversary will hand you over to the judge, the judge will hand you over to the bailiff, and you will be thrown into prison. 26I tell you the truth, you will not go out until you pay the last penny. " - Word of salvation.

Salmo 129/130

Psalm 129/130
If you take account of our faults, / who will survive?
From the depths I cry unto you, O Lord, / Hear my voice! / Your ears be attentive / to the cry of my prayer!
If you take account of our faults, / who will survive? / But in you is forgiveness, / I fear you, and in you I hope.
In the Lord I lay my hope, / I hope in his word. / My soul waits in the Lord / but watches over him at dawn.
Wait for Israel for the Lord / but watch for the dawn! / For in the Lord is found all grace / abundant redemption. / He comes to deliver Israel / all his guilt.
