Aqui está quem é maior do que Salomão.
Here is who is greater than Solomon.

Palavras e obras de Jesus, não encontram acolhimento em alguns de seus conterrâneos, sobretudo dos dirigentes do povo. Então ele é desafiado a exibir algum prodígio espetacular, capaz de convencê-los de que Ele é verdadeiramente o Filho de Deus. Jesus classifica esta geração como malvada, isto é, aferrada a uma instituição que não abre mão de privilégios, que não aceita a proposta assentada na prática da justiça e da fraternidade. É uma geração tão avessa à presença e mensagem de Jesus, que no dia do Julgamento será condenada. Não por Jesus, mas pelos que se converteram com a pregação de Salomão e de Jonas. Aqui está alguém (Jesus) que é maior do que Salomão e Jonas.

Jesus's words and works do not find a welcome in some of his countrymen, especially of the people's leaders. Then he is challenged to exhibit some spectacular prodigy, able to convince them that he is truly the son of God. Jesus classifies this generation as evil, that is, afscrewed to an institution that does not give up privileges, which does not accept the proposal settled in the practice of justice and fraternity. It is a generation so averse to the presence and message of Jesus, who on the day of Judgment will be condemned. Not by Jesus, but by those who have become the preaching of Solomon and Jonah. Here is someone (Jesus) who is greater than Solomon and Jonah.

(Sl 94,8) – Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas 11,29-32 – Naquele tempo, 29quando as multidões se reuniram em grande quantidade, Jesus começou a dizer: “Esta geração é uma geração má. Ela busca um sinal, mas nenhum sinal lhe será dado, a não ser o sinal de Jonas. 30Com efeito, assim como Jonas foi um sinal para os ninivitas, assim também será o Filho do homem para esta geração. 31No dia do julgamento, a rainha do Sul se levantará juntamente com os homens desta geração e os condenará. Porque ela veio de uma terra distante para ouvir a sabedoria de Salomão. E aqui está quem é maior do que Salomão. 32No dia do julgamento, os ninivitas se levantarão juntamente com esta geração e a condenarão. Porque eles se converteram quando ouviram a pregação de Jonas. E aqui está quem é maior do que Jonas”. – Palavra da salvação.
