Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas 14,1.7-11 – 1Aconteceu que, num dia de sábado, Jesus foi comer na casa de um dos chefes dos fariseus. E eles o observavam. 7Jesus notou como os convidados escolhiam os primeiros lugares. Então, contou-lhes uma parábola: 8“Quando tu fores convidado para uma festa de casamento, não ocupes o primeiro lugar. Pode ser que tenha sido convidado alguém mais importante do que tu, 9e o dono da casa, que convidou os dois, venha te dizer: ‘Dá o lugar a ele’. Então tu ficarás envergonhado e irás ocupar o último lugar. 10Mas, quando tu fores convidado, vai sentar-te no último lugar. Assim, quando chegar quem te convidou, te dirá: ‘Amigo, vem mais para cima’. E isso vai ser uma honra para ti diante de todos os convidados. 11Porque quem se eleva será humilhado, e quem se humilha será elevado”. – Palavra da salvação.

Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 14: 1, 11-11 It happened that on a Sabbath day Jesus went to eat at the house of one of the chiefs of the Pharisees. And they watched him. 7Jesus noticed how the guests chose the first places. Then he told them a parable: 8 "When you are invited to a wedding feast, do not occupy the first place. It may be that someone more important than you has been invited, 9and the owner of the house, who invited the two, comes and says to you, 'Give him the place.' Then you will be ashamed and occupy the last place. 10But when thou art invited, he will sit at the last place. So when it comes who invited you, it will say to you, 'Friend, come up more'. And this will be an honor for you in front of all the guests. 11 For he that is risen shall be humbled, and he that humbleth himself shall be lifted up. " - Word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho 

A sociedade nos impulsiona constantemente a buscar uma posição de destaque. As indústrias comerciais armam entre elas verdadeira “guerra”, disputando quem é a maior. Naturalmente maior evidência atrai mais dinheiro, mais investimentos, mais publicidade… Círculo vicioso sem freio. O ser humano tem tendência a ser o mais famoso, o mais admirado, o mais rico… Esses predicativos não servem para compor a comunidade de Jesus. Pois aí, “se alguém quiser ser o primeiro, seja o último de todos e o servidor de todos” (Mc 9,35). O próprio Jesus “renunciou ao direito de ser tratado como Deus. Pelo contrário, esvaziou-se a si mesmo e tomou a forma de servo, tornando-se semelhante aos homens” (Fl 2,6-7). Deus exalta os humildes.

Reflecting the Gospel 

Society constantly urges us to seek a prominent position. The commercial industries have between them true "war", disputing who is greater. Of course more evidence attracts more money, more investments, more publicity ... Vicious circle without brake. The human being tends to be the most famous, the most admired, the richest ... These predications do not serve to compose the community of Jesus. For there, "if anyone wants to be first, be the last of all and the servant of all" (Mk 9:35). Jesus himself "renounced the right to be treated as God. On the contrary, he emptied himself and took the form of a servant, becoming like men "(Phil 2: 6-7). God exalts the humble.
