Jesus espantou-se com a falta de fé deles!
Jesus was astonished at their lack of faith.!

1a. Leitura - 2 Samuel 24,2.9-17
Retira agora a tua mão!” – Palavra do Senhor.

1st Reading - 2 Samuel 24,2.9-17
Read in the second book of Samuel - In those days, 2 King David said to Joab and to the captains of his army who were with him, "Go over all the tribes of Israel from Dan to Bersabiah, and make a census of the people. that I know your number. " 9 And Joab brought to the king the result of the census of the people: there were in Israel eight hundred thousand men of war, who wielded the sword; and in Judah five hundred thousand men. 10And after the people were counted, David felt remorse and said to the Lord, "I have committed a great sin in doing what I have done. But forgive the iniquity of thy servant, because I have acted like a great fool. " 11And it came to pass in the morning, when David arose, that the word of the LORD was spoken to the prophet Gad, the seer of David, saying, 12 "Go and say to David, Thus saith the Lord; choose the one you want me to send you. " 13Gad went to David and said to him, "What do you prefer: three years of famine in your land, three months of defeat before the enemies who persecute you, or three days of plague in the land? Reflect therefore, and see what I ought to answer to him who sent me. " 14Davi answered Gad, "I am in great distress. It is better to fall into the hands of the Lord, whose mercy is great, than to fall into the hands of men! "15 And David chose the plague. It was the harvest time of wheat. And the LORD commanded the plague of Israel from the morning until the appointed day, so that seventy thousand men of the people died from Dan to Bersabia. 16And when the angel stretched forth his hand to destroy Jerusalem, the Lord repented of that evil, and said to the angel that he was exterminating the people, saying, It is enough! Remove your hand now! "The angel stood by the threshing floor of Areuna the Jebusite. 17And when David saw the angel that afflicted the people, he said to the Lord, "I have sinned, I am to blame. But these, who are like sheep, what have they done? I ask that your hand turn against me and against my family! "- Word of the Lord.

Evangelho - Marcos 6,1-6
Apenas curou alguns doentes, impondo-lhes as mãos. 6E admirou-se com a falta de fé deles. Jesus percorria os povoados das redondezas, ensinando. – Palavra da salvação

Gospel - Marcos 6,1-6
Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ According to Mark - At that time, Jesus went to Nazareth, his land, and his disciples followed him. 2When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue. Many who listened to him were amazed and said, "Where did he get all this? How did you get so much wisdom? And these great miracles that are performed by your hands? 3This man is not the carpenter, son of Mary and brother of James, Joset, Judas, and Simon? Your sisters do not live here with us? "And they were scandalized by him. 4Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not esteemed in his own country among his kinsmen and relatives." 5And there he could do no miracles. He only healed some sick people by laying their hands on them. 6And they marveled at their lack of faith. Jesus went around the surrounding villages, teaching. - Word of salvation..

Refletindo o Evangelho

Reflecting the Gospel
Accompanied by his disciples, Jesus goes to Nazareth, "his land." As usual, he teaches in their synagogue. Many listeners react with admiration: "What wisdom has been given to you?" But soon the assembly passes into contempt, so much so that Jesus utters his lament: "A prophet is despised only in his own land, among his relatives, and in his house." It finds, therefore, hostile environment, infertile ground, hardened hearts. Those Nazarenes lost the opportunity to enjoy a little more of the presence of the Master of truth, the liberator of the oppressed, the light of life. So impressed by their lack of faith, Jesus left them clinging to the old ideas and convictions, suffocated under heavy social structures, while he "passed the neighboring villages, teaching".

Rezando
Salmo 31/32.

Praying
Happy the man who was forgiven / and whose fault was already covered up! / Blessed is the man whom the Lord † no longer regards as guilty / and in whose soul there is no falsehood! I confessed, after all, my sin / and I missed you. / Said, "I will confess my sin!" / And you have forgiven, O Lord, my fault. Every believer can thus invoke you / during the time of distress and distress, / because, even if the waters break out, / they can never reach you. You are for me protection and refuge; / In my distress you will save me / and you will surround my soul in the joy / of the salvation that comes to me from you alone. Psalm 31/32.
