1a. Leitura - Números 6,22-27

Leitura do livro dos Números – 22 O Senhor falou a Moisés, dizendo: 23 “Fala a Aarão e a seus filhos: Ao abençoar os filhos de Israel, dizei-lhes: 24 ‘O Senhor te abençoe e te guarde! 25 O Senhor faça brilhar sobre ti a sua face e se compadeça de ti! 26 O Senhor volte para ti o seu rosto e te dê a paz!’ 27 Assim invocarão o meu nome sobre os filhos de Israel, e eu os abençoarei”. – Palavra do Senhor.

Evangelho - Lucas 2,16-21

Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas – Naquele tempo, 16 os pastores foram às pressas a Belém e encontraram Maria, José e o recém-nascido deitado na manjedoura. 17 Tendo-o visto, contaram o que lhes fora dito sobre o menino. 18 E todos os que ouviram os pastores ficaram maravilhados com aquilo que contavam. 19 Quanto a Maria, guardava todos esses fatos e meditava sobre eles em seu coração. 20 Os pastores voltaram, glorificando e louvando a Deus por tudo que tinham visto e ouvido, conforme lhes tinha sido dito. 21 Quando se completaram os oito dias para a circuncisão do menino, deram-lhe o nome de Jesus, como fora chamado pelo anjo antes de ser concebido. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel - Luke 2,16-21

Refletindo o Evangelho

Iniciamos novo ano civil, celebrando a solenidade de Maria, Mãe de Deus e nossa. O evangelho está mais enfocado na pessoa de Jesus, do que em Maria. Temos também a presença marcante dos pastores, pessoas simples, pobres e até desprezadas, mas são eles os primeiros a tomar conhecimento do recém-nascido. Partem em busca dele e, após o encontro, tornam-se os primeiros anunciadores da chegada do Salvador da humanidade. Essa é boa notícia que traz muita alegria e esperança ao povo que aguarda a realização das profecias. Iniciar ano novo sob a proteção de Maria, é sempre motivo de muita alegria. Ao longo do ano, procuremos, a exemplo dos pastores, ser pessoas que apontam caminhos de esperança e otimismo ao povo, frente aos desafios e dificuldades. Aprendamos de Maria a observar e a meditar sobre os fatos e as notícias que nos chegam diariamente, para descobrirmos os caminhos de Deus, que se revelam também no meio de caminhos tortuosos. Deus age através das pessoas e dos acontecimentos. Saibamos discernir a mão de Deus presente nos altos e baixos da vida.

Reflecting the Gospel

We started new civil year, celebrating the solemnity of Mary, mother of God and our. The Gospel is more focused on the person of Jesus, than in Mary.
