Para refletir
Era geral a admiração por Jesus e sua obra. Beneficiava o povo com ensinamentos, curas de doenças, perdão dos pecados etc. Jesus era um homem de Deus. Como admitir que ele seria capturado e condenado pelas autoridades de Jerusalém, e terminaria pregado numa cruz? Isso não cabia na cabeça dos discípulos. Por isso, Jesus replica o que já anunciara outras vezes: “O Filho do Homem será entregue nas mãos dos homens” A morte de Jesus na cruz nos introduz na esfera dos planos de Deus, mistério que escapa à nossa compreensão. Após a ressurreição, Jesus dirá aos discípulos de Emaús: “Era preciso que o Messias sofresse tudo isso e entrasse na sua glória” (Lc 24,25-26). O cristão é aquele que segue Cristo, primeiro nos sofrimentos, depois na glória.
To think about
There was general admiration for Jesus and his work. He benefited the people with teachings, cures for diseases, forgiveness of sins, etc. Jesus was a man of God. How to admit that he would be captured and condemned by the Jerusalem authorities, and would end up nailed to a cross? This did not fit in the disciples' heads. For this reason, Jesus replicates what he has already announced at other times: “The Son of Man will be delivered into the hands of men” Jesus' death on the cross introduces us to the sphere of God's plans, a mystery that escapes our understanding.
