Naquele tempo, estando à mesa com seus discípulos, 21 Jesus ficou profundamente comovido e testemunhou: “Em verdade, em verdade vos digo, um de vós me entregará”. 22 Desconcertados, os discípulos olhavam uns para os outros, pois não sabiam de quem Jesus estava falando. 23 Um deles, a quem Jesus amava, estava recostado ao lado de Jesus. 24 Simão Pedro fez-lhe um sinal para que ele procurasse saber de quem Jesus estava falando. 25 Então, o discípulo, reclinando-se sobre o peito de Jesus, perguntou-lhe: “Senhor, quem é?” 26 Jesus respondeu: “É aquele a quem eu der o pedaço de pão passado no molho”. Então Jesus molhou um pedaço de pão e deu-o a Judas, filho de Simão Iscariotes. 27 Depois do pedaço de pão, Satanás entrou em Judas. Então Jesus lhe disse: “O que tens a fazer, executa-o depressa”. 28 Nenhum dos presentes compreendeu por que Jesus lhe disse isso. 29 Como Judas guardava a bolsa, alguns pensavam que Jesus lhe queria dizer: ‘Compra o que precisamos para a festa’, ou que desse alguma coisa aos pobres. 30 Depois de receber o pedaço de pão, Judas saiu imediatamente. Era noite. 31 Depois que Judas saiu, disse Jesus: “Agora foi glorificado o Filho do Homem, e Deus foi glorificado nele. 32 Se Deus foi glorificado nele, também Deus o glorificará em si mesmo, e o glorificará logo. 33Filhinhos, por pouco tempo estou ainda convosco. Vós me procurareis, e agora vos digo, como eu disse também aos judeus: ‘Para onde eu vou, vós não podeis ir’”. 36 Simão Pedro perguntou: “Senhor, para onde vais?” Jesus respondeu-lhe: “Para onde eu vou, tu não me podes seguir agora, mas seguirás mais tarde”. 37 Pedro disse: “Senhor, por que não posso seguir-te agora? Eu darei a minha vida por ti!” 38 Respondeu Jesus: “Darás a tua vida por mim? Em verdade, em verdade te digo: o galo não cantará antes que me tenhas negado três vezes”.

Refletindo

Sabe, a Eucaristia tem a missão de nos purificar e nos colocar em comunhão com Deus, porque ela é o próprio Senhor que recebemos em nós! Mas se não purificarmos o nosso coração para recebermos a Eucaristia ou não permitirmos que o corpo do Senhor nos purifique, as obras das trevas entrarão em nosso coração. Todos nós participamos da Ceia do Senhor, comungamos com Ele, mas comungamos também com pensamentos e obras que são do mal. Não permitimos que a Eucaristia realize em nós, muitas vezes, a obra do Reino de Deus. Jesus mesmo disse: “Teu irmão tem algo contra ti? Primeiro, vai reconciliar-se com ele”. A primeira obra diabólica é esta, não vivemos a reconciliação. Somos capazes de entrar na Ceia Eucarística, comungar, chorar, cantar bonito, mas, ao sairmos da Eucaristia, continuamos fechados, não nos reconciliamos uns com os outros, continuamos a falar mal um dos outros, até na porta da igreja. Não deixamos que a Eucaristia vença as trevas do nosso coração, mas permitimos, muitas vezes, que o demônio, com suas obras, inspire-nos o mal. O que aconteceu com Judas não é para atirarmos pedras nele, é para revermos a nossa postura, pois isso acontece com Pedro em seguida. Aquele entusiasmo de estar com Jesus: “Eu darei a minha vida por Ti!”. E Jesus responde: “Pedro, antes que o galo cante, você vai me negar três vezes”. Pedro também estava na Ceia de Jesus; mais do que isso, ele comungou a vida com Jesus e negou o Mestre três vezes. Hoje, preciso colocar meu coração de molho, numa reflexão profunda: o que estou permitindo que a Eucaristia realize em mim? O que, de fato, estou vivendo quando comungo com o Senhor? Comungo com uma hóstia? Comungo, na verdade, Jesus em algo que eu acho bom? Comungo, de fato, o Senhor e aceito a Sua obra, o Seu Reino? Ou permito que a obra das trevas invada meu coração? Nossas fraquezas são nossas e nenhuma delas são condenadas. Elas são salvas, redimidas e cuidadas por Deus! Eu não posso transformar minhas fraquezas em desculpas para viver nas trevas e deixar que pensamentos, ações diabólicas tomem conta do meu coração ainda participando da Eucaristia, da Ceia do Senhor.
