A luz de Deus vence as trevas da humanidade - Jo 7, 40-53

The light of God conquers the darkness of humanity - Jo 7, 40-53

Texto Bíblico

Naquele tempo, 40 ao ouvirem as palavras de Jesus, algumas pessoas diziam: “Este é, verdadeiramente, o Profeta”. 41 Outros diziam: “Ele é o Messias”. Mas alguns objetavam: “Porventura o Messias virá da Galileia? 42 Não diz a Escritura que o Messias será da descendência de Davi e virá de Belém, povoado de onde era Davi?” 43 Assim, houve divisão no meio do povo por causa de Jesus. 44 Alguns queriam prendê-lo, mas ninguém pôs as mãos nele. 45 Então, os guardas do Templo voltaram para os sumos sacerdotes e os fariseus, e estes lhes perguntaram: “Por que não o tr ouxestes?” 46 Os guardas responderam: “Ninguém jamais falou como este homem”. 47 Então os fariseus disseram-lhes: “Também vós vos deixastes enganar? 48 Por acaso algum dos chefes ou dos fariseus acreditou nele? 49 Mas esta gente que não conhece a Lei, é maldita!” 50 Nicodemos, porém, um dos fariseus, aquele que se tinha encontrado com Jesus anteriormente, disse: 51 “Será que a nossa Lei julga alguém, antes de o ouvir e saber o que ele fez?” 52 Eles responderam: “Também tu és galileu, porventura? Vai estudar e verás que da Galileia não surge profeta”. 53 E cada um voltou para sua casa.

Biblical Text 
At that time, 40 to hear the words of Jesus, some people said: "This is truly the Prophet." 41 others said: "he is the Messiah". But some objetavam: "the Messiah will come from Galilee? 42 Not the Scripture that the Messiah will be of the seed of David and come from Bethlehem, town where David was? " 43 thus, there was division among the people because of Jesus. 44 Some wanted to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him. 45 so the temple guards returned to the high priests and Pharisees, and they asked them: "why don't the tr ouxestes?" 46 The guards responded: "no one has ever spoken like this man". 47 the Pharisees Then said to them: "let you cheat? 48 by chance some of heads or of the Pharisees believed on him? 49 But these people that doesn't know the law, is cursed!" 50 Nicodemus, however, one of the Pharisees, who had met with Jesus earlier said: 51 "does our law judge someone before I hear and know what he did?" 52 they answered: "you are Galileo, perhaps? Will study and see that no Prophet arises from Galilee ". 53 and each one came to your House.

A grande divisão do mundo não são as pessoas umas contra as outras, mas são as pessoas contra a verdade de Deus, contra a luz do Senhor! São aqueles que querem, a todo custo, matar a luz de Jesus presente e viva no meio de nós. Por esse motivo, queriam prender Jesus. E quem queria prendê-Lo? Aqueles que não aceitaram Sua luz. Não prenda, não expulse, não tire da sua vida a luz de Jesus. Às vezes, não fazemos isso diretamente, nenhum de nós quer se opor a Jesus. Há, no mundo, quem se opõe, quem é do contra, foi assim no passado, e nos dias de hoje é também, mas nós, muitas vezes, comungamos com as obras das trevas, comungamos com aqueles que se opõem à obra de Jesus. Muitas vezes, permitimos que as obras entrem em nossa casa e aprisionamos a Palavra de Deus, Sua graça e Seu amor presente no meio de nós. Não prendamos Jesus, coloquemo-nos ao Seu lado, não criemos oposição a Ele, mas fiquemos do Seu lado. Façamos companhia a Jesus, andemos com Ele onde quer que esteja, porque Ele quer caminhar conosco. Muitos não aceitarão, muitos não querem a luz de Jesus, mas é a luz d’Ele que precisamos, a cada dia, para transformar nossa vida!

Many will not accept, many do not want the light of Jesus, but it is his light that we need, each day, to transform our lives.
