Jesus cura a sogra de Pedro.

Jesus heals Peter's mother-in-law.

Em Cafarnaum, Jesus liberta um homem possuído pelo espírito impuro. Da sinagoga Jesus desloca-se para a casa de Simão, cuja sogra tem febre alta. Jesus “repreendeu a febre”, e a mulher recuperou sua condição. No final do dia, Jesus entra em contato com muito doentes, com diversos tipos de enfermidades e liberta a todos, com o simples poderoso impor das mãos. As multidões, possivelmente por interesse, “o seguravam para que não fosse embora”. Jesus, porém, movido pela força da oração, retoma o sentido de sua missão: “Eu devo anunciar a Boa Notícia do Reino de Deus também a outras cidades, pois para isso é que fui enviado”.

In Capernaum, Jesus frees a man possessed by the impure spirit. From the synagogue Jesus moves to the house of Simon, whose mother-in-law has high fever. Jesus "rebuked the Fever," and the woman regained her condition. At the end of the day, Jesus comes into contact with very sick people, with various types of illnesses and frees them all, with the simple powerful imposition of the hands. The crowds, possibly by interest, "held him so that he would not go away." Jesus, however, moved by the power of prayer, resumed the meaning of his mission: "I must announce the good news of the Kingdom of God also to other cities, for that is what I have been sent."

Início da carta de são Paulo aos Colossenses 1,1-8 – 1Paulo, apóstolo de Cristo Jesus por vontade de Deus, e o irmão Timóteo 2aos santos e fiéis irmãos em Cristo que estão em Colossas: graça e paz da parte de Deus, nosso Pai. 3Damos graças a Deus, Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, sempre rezando por vós, 4pois ouvimos acerca da vossa fé em Cristo Jesus e do amor que mostrais para com todos os santos, 5animados pela esperança na posse do céu. Disso já ouvistes falar no evangelho, cuja palavra de verdade chegou até vós. 6E como no mundo inteiro, assim também entre vós ela está produzindo frutos e se desenvolve desde o dia em que ouvistes a graça divina e conhecestes verdadeiramente. 7Assim aprendestes de Epafras, nosso estimado companheiro, que é, junto de vós, um autêntico mensageiro de Cristo. 8Foi ele quem nos deu notícia sobre o amor que o Espírito suscitou em vós. – Palavra do Senhor.

Evangelho

O Espírito do Senhor repousa sobre mim / e enviou-me a anunciar aos pobres o evangelho (Lc 4,18). – Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas 4,38-44 – Naquele tempo, 38Jesus saiu da sinagoga e entrou na casa de Simão. A sogra de Simão estava sofrendo com febre alta, e pediram a Jesus em favor dela. 39Inclinando-se sobre ela, Jesus ameaçou a febre, e a febre a deixou. Imediatamente, ela se levantou e começou a servi-los. 40Ao pôr do sol, todos os que tinham doentes atingidos por diversos males os levaram a Jesus. Jesus colocava as mãos em cada um deles e os curava. 41De muitas pessoas também saíam demônios, gritando: “Tu és o Filho de Deus”. Jesus os ameaçava e não os deixava falar, porque sabiam que ele era o Messias. 42Ao raiar do dia, Jesus saiu e foi para um lugar deserto. As multidões o procuravam e, indo até ele, tentavam impedi-lo de que os deixasse. 43Mas Jesus disse: “Eu devo anunciar a Boa-Nova do reino de Deus também a outras cidades, porque para isso é que eu fui enviado”. 44E pregava nas sinagogas da Judeia. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah. The spirit of the Lord rests upon me/and sent me to proclaim to the poor the Gospel (Lk 4,18). – Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 4,38-44 – At that time, 38Jesus left the synagogue and entered the house of Simon. Simon's mother-in-law was suffering from high fever, and asked Jesus in favor of her. 39Leaning over her, Jesus threatened the fever, and the fever left her. Immediately, she stood up and began to serve them. 40At Sunset, all who had afflicted with many evils led them to Jesus. Jesus put his hands on each of them and healed them. 41Of Many people also left demons, shouting: "Thou art the son of God." Jesus threatened them and wouldn't let them talk because they knew he was the Messiah. 42At the dawn of the day, Jesus went out and went to a deserted place. The crowds were looking for him, and, going to him, they tried to stop him from leaving them. 43But Jesus said, "I must announce the good news of the Kingdom of God also to other cities, for this is that I have been sent." 44E preached in the synagogues of Judea. – Word of salvation.
