Leitura da carta aos Hebreus 12,1-4 – Irmãos, 1rodeados como estamos por tamanha multidão de testemunhas, deixemos de lado o que nos pesa e o pecado que nos envolve. Empenhemo-nos com perseverança no combate que nos é proposto, 2com os olhos fixos em Jesus, que em nós começa e completa a obra da fé. Em vista da alegria que lhe foi proposta, suportou a cruz, não se importando com a infâmia, e assentou-se à direita do trono de Deus. 3Pensai, pois, naquele que enfrentou uma tal oposição por parte dos pecadores, para que não vos deixeis abater pelo desânimo. 4Vós ainda não resististes até o sangue na vossa luta contra o pecado. – Palavra do Senhor.Estás livre da tua doença.

Reading of the letter to the Hebrews 12,1-4 - Brethren, as we stand because of such a multitude of witnesses, let us put aside what weighs us down and the sin that envelops us. Let us engage with perseverance in the battle which is set before us, 2 with our eyes fixed on Jesus, who begins and completes the work of faith in us. In view of the joy which was set before him, he endured the cross, not caring for infamy, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3Therefore think of him who has faced such opposition on the part of sinners, so that you do not let yourselves be discouraged by discouragement. 4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood in your striving against sin. - Word of the Lord. You are free of your disease.

Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Marcos 5,21-43 – Naquele tempo, 21Jesus atravessou de novo, numa barca, para a outra margem. Uma numerosa multidão se reuniu junto dele, e Jesus ficou na praia. 22Aproximou-se, então, um dos chefes da sinagoga, chamado Jairo. Quando viu Jesus, caiu a seus pés 23e pediu com insistência: “Minha filhinha está nas últimas. Vem e põe as mãos sobre ela, para que ela sare e viva!” 24Jesus então o acompanhou. Uma numerosa multidão o seguia e o comprimia. 25Ora, achava-se ali uma mulher que, há doze anos, estava com uma hemorragia; 26tinha sofrido nas mãos de muitos médicos, gastou tudo o que possuía e, em vez de melhorar, piorava cada vez mais. 27Tendo ouvido falar de Jesus, aproximou-se dele por detrás, no meio da multidão, e tocou na sua roupa. 28Ela pensava: “Se eu ao menos tocar na roupa dele, ficarei curada”. 29A hemorragia parou imediatamente, e a mulher sentiu dentro de si que estava curada da doença. 30Jesus logo percebeu que uma força tinha saído dele. E, voltando-se no meio da multidão, perguntou: “Quem tocou na minha roupa?” 31Os discípulos disseram: “Estás vendo a multidão que te comprime e ainda perguntas: ‘Quem me tocou?’” 32Ele, porém, olhava ao redor para ver quem havia feito aquilo. 33A mulher, cheia de medo e tremendo, percebendo o que lhe havia acontecido, veio e caiu aos pés de Jesus e contou-lhe toda a verdade. 34Ele lhe disse: “Filha, a tua fé te curou. Vai em paz e fica curada dessa doença”. 35Ele estava ainda falando quando chegaram alguns da casa do chefe da sinagoga e disseram a Jairo: “Tua filha morreu. Por que ainda incomodar o mestre?” 36Jesus ouviu a notícia e disse ao chefe da sinagoga: “Não tenhas medo. Basta ter fé!” 37E não deixou que ninguém o acompanhasse, a não ser Pedro, Tiago e seu irmão João. 38Quando chegaram à casa do chefe da sinagoga, Jesus viu a confusão e como estavam chorando e gritando. 39Então, ele entrou e disse: “Por que essa confusão e esse choro? A criança não morreu, mas está dormindo”. 40Começaram então a caçoar dele. Mas ele mandou que todos saíssem, menos o pai e a mãe da menina e os três discípulos que o acompanhavam. Depois entraram no quarto onde estava a criança. 41Jesus pegou na mão da menina e disse: “Talitá cum” – que quer dizer “menina, levanta-te!” 42Ela levantou-se imediatamente e começou a andar, pois tinha doze anos. E todos ficaram admirados. 43Ele recomendou com insistência que ninguém ficasse sabendo daquilo. E mandou dar de comer à menina. – Palavra da salvação.

A large crowd gathered with him, and Jesus stood on the shore. 22And one of the rulers of the synagogue, named Jairus, came near. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet and asked insistently: "My little daughter is in the last. Come and lay your hands upon it, that it may heal and live! "24Jesus then accompanied him. A large crowd followed and compressed him. Go in peace and be cured of this disease. " 35And he was still speaking when some of the ruler of the synagogue came and said to Jairus, "Your daughter is dead. Why bother the master yet? "36Jesus heard the news and said to the ruler of the synagogue," Do not be afraid. Just let him have faith! "37And he did not let anyone accompany him except Peter, James, and his brother John. 38When they came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, Jesus saw the confusion and how they were crying and shouting. 39Then he came in and said, "Why is this confusion and this crying? The child did not die but is asleep. " They began to mock him. But he sent them all out, except the girl's father and mother and the three disciples who accompanied him. Dois protagonistas, duas histórias. Jairo é chefe de sinagoga; a mulher é enferma e há doze anos sofre de hemorragia, gastando todas as suas economias em tratamento sem eficácia. Jairo cai aos pés do Mestre e lhe implora a cura de sua filha que está morrendo. A mulher, considerada impura pela sua enfermidade, aproxima-se de Jesus, discretamente toca-lhe a veste, crendo que por esse gesto será curada. Recebe a cura física e a salvação pela fé. Também ela cai aos pés de Jesus, cheia de reconhecimento e gratidão. Na casa de Jairo, o clima é de morte (choradeira). Jesus, tomando a menina pela mão, ordena que volte a viver e seja alimentada, atitudes que salientam a sensibilidade de Jesus. Nem todos acreditam no poder de Jesus. Alguns caçoam dele. A maioria, entretanto, fica assombrada.

Two protagonists, two stories. Jairus is chief of the synagogue; the woman is ill and for twelve years she has suffered hemorrhage, spending all her savings on treatment without effectiveness. Jairus falls at the Master's feet and begs the healing of his dying daughter. The woman, considered impure by her infirmity, approaches Jesus, discreetly touches his garment, believing that by this gesture will be healed. He receives physical healing and salvation by faith. She too falls at the feet of Jesus, full of gratitude and gratitude. At Jairo's house, the climate is death (crying). Jesus, taking the girl by the hand, commands that he return to live and be fed, attitudes that emphasize the sensitivity of Jesus. Not everyone believes in the power of Jesus. Some kidnap him. Most, however, are haunted.
