1a. Leitura

Leitura da carta aos Hebreus 10,19-25 – 19Sendo assim, irmãos, temos plena liberdade para entrar no santuário, pelo sangue de Jesus. 20Ele nos abriu um caminho novo e vivo através da cortina, quer dizer, através da sua humanidade. 21Temos um grande sacerdote constituído sobre a casa de Deus. 22Aproximemo-nos, portanto, de coração sincero e cheio de fé, com coração purificado de toda má consciência e o corpo lavado com água pura. 23Sem desânimo, continuemos a afirmar a nossa esperança, porque é fiel quem fez a promessa. 24Sejamos atentos uns aos outros, para nos incentivar à caridade e às boas obras. 25Não abandonemos as nossas assembleias, como alguns costumam fazer. Antes, procuremos animar-nos mutuamente, e tanto mais quanto vedes o dia aproximar-se. – Palavra do Senhor.

1st. Reading 

Reading the letter to the Hebrews 10,19-25 - 19Because then, brethren, we have full freedom to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus. 20He opened a new and living way through the curtain, that is, through his humanity. 21 We have a great priest appointed over the house of God. Let us therefore come near with a sincere heart and full of faith, with a pure heart cleansed from every evil conscience, and the body washed with pure water. 23If we are discouraged, let us continue to affirm our hope, for the one who made the promise is faithful. 24 Let us be attentive to one another, to encourage charity and good works. 25 Let us not forsake our assembly, as some do. Rather, let us seek to animate one another, and all the more as you see the day approaching. - Word of the Lord.

Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Marcos 4,21-25 – Naquele tempo, Jesus disse à multidão: 21“Quem é que traz uma lâmpada para colocá-la debaixo de um caixote ou debaixo da cama? Ao contrário, não a coloca num candeeiro? 22Assim, tudo o que está escondido deverá tornar-se manifesto, e tudo o que está em segredo deverá ser descoberto. 23Se alguém tem ouvidos para ouvir, ouça”. 24Jesus dizia ainda: “Prestai atenção no que ouvis: com a mesma medida com que medirdes, também vós sereis medidos; e vos será dado ainda mais. 25Ao que tem alguma coisa, será dado ainda mais; do que não tem, será tirado até mesmo o que ele tem”. – Palavra da salvação.

Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to Mark 4,21-25 - At that time Jesus told the crowd: 21 "Who is it that brings a lamp to put it under a box or under the bed? Does not he put it on a lamp? 22Therefore, everything that is hidden must be made manifest, and everything that is in secret is to be discovered. 23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear. " 24Jesus also said, "Pay attention to what you hear: with the same measure you measure, you too will be measured; and it shall be given unto you even more. 25What has something, it will be given even more; of what he does not have, even what he has will be taken away. Refletindo o Evangelho 

A Palavra de Deus é como a luz de uma lâmpada: não deve ficar escondida ou guardada na intimidade do coração. A Palavra merece ser conhecida, amada e difundida sem medo ou mesquinhez. São Paulo pedia oração para que ele pudesse anunciar com ousadia o mistério do Evangelho (cf. Ef 6,20). À medida que nos deixamos envolver pela Palavra, nos tornamos mais ricos e fortalecidos na caminhada espiritual, pois Deus nos supera em generosidade. Jesus dizia: “Deem e lhes será dado. Uma boa medida, socada, sacudida e transbordante será colocada na dobra da veste de vocês” (Lc 6,38). Nossa vida cotidiana deve ser testemunho do que pregamos aos outros. Sejamos ouvintes entusiastas e praticantes da Palavra de Deus e a divulguemos em toda parte e com todos os recursos à nossa disposição.

Reflecting the Gospel 

The Word of God is like the light of a lamp: it must not be hidden or kept in the intimacy of the heart. The Word deserves to be known, loved and spread without fear or meanness. St. Paul asked for prayer so that he could boldly proclaim the mystery of the Gospel (Eph 6,20). As we become engrossed in the Word, we become richer and stronger in the spiritual walk, for God surpasses us in generosity. Jesus said, "Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pounded, shaken and overflowing will be placed in the fold of your garment "(Lk 6:38). Our daily lives should be testimony to what we preach to others. Let us be enthusiastic listeners and practicers of the Word of God and spread it everywhere and with all the resources at our disposal.

É assim a geração dos que buscam vossa face, / ó Senhor, Deus de Israel.
Ao Senhor pertence a terra e o que ela encerra, / o mundo inteiro com os seres que o povoam; / porque ele a tornou firme sobre os mares / e, sobre as águas, a mantém inabalável.
“Quem subirá até o monte do Senhor, / quem ficará em sua santa habitação?” / “Quem tem mãos puras e inocente coração, / quem não dirige sua mente para o crime.
