6 22 O Senhor disse a Moisés:
23 “Dize a Aarão e seus filhos o seguinte: eis como abençoares os filhos de Israel:
24 O Senhor te abençoe e te guarde!
25 O Senhor te mostre a sua face e conceda-te sua graça!
26 O Senhor volva o seu rosto para ti e te dê a paz!
27 E assim invocarão o meu nome sobre os filhos de Israel e eu os abençoarei”.

Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas.
2 16 Os pastores foram com grande pressa e acharam Maria e José, e o menino deitado na manjedoura. 17 Vendo-o, contaram o que se lhes havia dito a respeito deste menino.
18 Todos os que os ouviam admiravam-se das coisas que lhes contavam os pastores.
19 Maria conservava todas estas palavras, meditando-as no seu coração.
20 Voltaram os pastores, glorificando e louvando a Deus por tudo o que tinham ouvido e visto, e que estava de acordo com o que lhes fora dito.
21 Completados que foram os oito dias para ser circuncidado o menino, foi-lhe posto o nome de Jesus, como lhe tinha chamado o anjo, antes de ser concebido no seio materno.

18 All that heard them were amazed at the things that the shepherds told them.
19 Mary kept all these words, pondering them in her heart.
20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, and which was according to that which was spoken unto them.

Aos pastores, depois de experimentarem a glória de Deus em suas próprias vidas, lhes chegou a maior notícia que um ser humano pode receber: o Salvador, o Messias está entre nós, nos dá sua luz, sua graça e muda nossa vida, nosso modo de ser, de viver e conviver. Na vida dos pastores tudo passou a ser diferente depois que encontraram o menino Deus. Voltaram louvando, glorificando a Deus e dando a conhecer a novidade absoluta que havia chegado aos homens. Com Maria e os pastores aprendemos que a contemplação, a adoração e o louvor são pré-requisitos para que o anúncio aconteça com autoridade. Roguemos, hoje, à Mãe de Deus que nos ajude a sermos fiéis ao projeto de Deus em nossa vida durante todos os dias deste novo ano. Deus abençoe você! FELIZ ANO NOVO!

To the shepherds, after experiencing the glory of God in their own lives, came the greater news that a human being can receive: the Savior, the Messiah is among us, gives us his light, his grace and changes our life, our way to be, to live and to live together. In the life of the shepherds everything happened to be different after they found the boy God. They came back to praise, glorifying God and making known the absolute newness that had come to men. With Mary and the pastors we learn that contemplation, worship and praise are prerequisites for the proclamation to take place with authority.
