The Sun is born of the high will visit us - Lc 1, 67-79
Texto Bíblico
Biblical Text
At that time, 67Zacharias, the father of John, filled with the Holy Spirit, prophesied, saying: "68Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, because he has visited and redeemed his people. 69Did appear to us a strength of salvation in the House of his servant David, 70as promised from the ancient times, by the mouth of his holy prophets, 71to save us from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us. 72he used mercy to our fathers, recalling his Holy Alliance 73and the oath he made to our father Abraham, to grant us, 74that without fear and freed from the hands of our enemies, we serve him, 75with Holiness and justice, in his presence, all our days. 76and thou, Child, shalt be called the Prophet of the most high, for you will ahead of the Lord to prepare his ways, 77announcing to his people to salvation by the remission of their sins. 78thanks to the merciful compassion of our God, the Sun will rise from the high visit us, 79to illuminate the lying in darkness and in the shadow of death, and direct our steps on the path to peace ".
Refletindo

Reflecting
Today should not be a night of Sorrows, or simply a night of food and drink. It's a night of praise, Thanksgiving and recognition of divine action in our midst. Let's not make our Christmas a pagan event, because, in fact, Christmas came to free us of paganism, to introduce us in the faith in salvation and deliverance which God has brought to us. Do the celebration of Christmas, our House and family a Christian event, with prayer, and the loving presence of God among us. What matters least is what we eat, let's give gifts or win, because what matters most is the gift that was given to us by God. Many times, our Christmases are full of foreign elements, unrelated or less important than the fact he means. Sometimes, our Christmases have everything, champagne, food, etc, but doesn't have the loving presence of Jesus. I can't conceive of someone who will meet, the family will be together that night, but they won't pray, won't raise your arms to the sky, will not thank God. Is essential and fundamental that we celebrate with you. Your priority that night's celebrate Christmas of the Lord, be with your loved ones and all those who believe that Jesus is the Savior, liberator and the blessing that God brought every one of us! Blessed be God, who visits us tonight! I'm sure God has a very special visit to make you, your home and your family. Just as Mary and Joseph tried to find a place for Jesus to be born, but people were very busy and had no space for them, God still looking for space, place to do this, to celebrate the liberation and salvation. My House, your House, your heart must be the place of reception of the God who visits us. That He grant us a night happy and very blessed!
