E a Palavra se fez carne e habitou entre nós - Jo 1, 1-18
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us - Jo 1, 1-18
1In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God; and the word was God. 2In the beginning was with God. 3Everything was done by her, and without it nothing if he did everything that was done. 4It was life, and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness failed to dominate her. 6Came a man sent by God; his name was John. 7He came as a witness, to bear witness of the light, that all came to faith through him. 8He was not the light, but came to bear witness of the light: 9that it was the light of truth, which, coming into the world, illuminates every human being. 10The word was in the world — and the world was made through it — but the world didn't want to meet her. 11Came to what was his, and your not welcomed. 12But to all who received him, he gave them the ability to become children of God, that is, those who believe in his name, 13as they were not born of blood nor the will of the flesh nor of the will of the son, but God even. 14And the word became flesh and dwelt among us. And we beheld his glory, glory that receives from Father as only son, full of grace and truth. 15His, John testifies, claiming: "this is he of whom I said: what comes after me went in front of me, because he existed before me." 16Of his fulness we have all received grace for grace. 17Because through Moses was given the law, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18To God, no one has ever seen. But the only begotten God, which is in the intimacy of the Father, he gave it to us to know.
Today we celebrate the eternal solidarity the father of mercies, who, in his plan of love, wanted the birth of Jesus, which is the true Sun, the light of the world. This is not a day of fear or desperation, it's confidence and hope, because God came to dwell among us, and so fill in the certainty that it is possible a new world. Solidarity with us, He wants us to show solidarity in this glorious day that sparkles around each one of us! Therefore, everything on this day only has meaning if I point to the big birthday boy this day: the God Boy! Cribs, trees, ornaments, banquets and Christmas gifts represent the gifts that the Magi led to Jesus, but are not these symbols the essence of Christmas. The important, essential, is that Christ really born in our hearts in a new way, renewal, and that from there, we can always walk in its light this solidarity one true God, we also stand in solidarity with each other. We live with joy this day, that the Lord has done for us! A Holy Christmas to you and your family!
