🇧🇷 Evangelho do Dia 13/11/18 🇺🇸 Daily Gospel 11/13/18

Somos servos inúteis; fizemos o que devíamos fazer.
We are useless servants; we did what we should do.

Evangelho

Gospel
Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 17,7-10- At that time Jesus said: 7 "If any of you have an employee who works the land or cares for the animals, will you tell him, when he returns from the field: 'Come quickly to the table'? 8On the contrary, he will not say to the servant, 'Prepare for me dinner, gird yourself and serve me while I eat and drink; after that you may eat and drink '? 9And will he thank the servant, because he hath done that which he commanded him? 10And likewise ye also, when ye have done all that ye have commanded, say, 'We are unprofitable servants; we did what we should do. '" - Word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

A correção chegou logo. Estamos a serviço do Reino, cujo único Senhor é Deus.

Reflecting the Gospel
In society of all times, the tendency to seek power is common. This danger also surrounds the community of Jesus. The apostles once argued over who was the greatest, most important, one who would occupy the first places in the Kingdom of Jesus. The correction has come soon. Jesus teaches them to serve, not to be served. We are servants of God and brothers and sisters. Therefore, titles in the Church do not mean decoration, prize, or clue to greatness. They mean greater responsibility in leading the people of God. We are in the service of the Kingdom, whose only Lord is God. Before him the most correct position is that of Mary: "Behold the handmaid of the Lord" (Lk 1:38). We are but simple servants of the Kingdom, for "our ability is from God" (2 Cor 4: 7).
