de vós, fariseus, porque pagais o dízimo da hortelã, da arruda e de
todas as outras ervas, mas deixais de lado a justiça e o amor de Deus.
Vós deveríeis praticar isso sem deixar de lado aquilo. 43Ai de vós, fariseus, porque gostais do lugar de honra nas sinagogas e de serdes cumprimentados nas praças públicas. 44Ai de vós, porque sois como túmulos que não se veem, sobre os quais os homens andam sem saber”. 45Um mestre da lei tomou a palavra e disse: “Mestre, falando assim, insultas-nos também a nós!” 46Jesus
respondeu: “Ai de vós também, mestres da lei, porque colocais sobre os
homens cargas insuportáveis e vós mesmos não tocais nessas cargas nem
com um só dedo”. – Palavra da salvação."

time, the Lord said: 42 "Woe to you Pharisees, because you pay tithes of
mint, rue, and all other herbs, but leave aside justice and the love of God. You should practice this without leaving aside that. 43 Woe to you, Pharisees, because you love the place of honor in the synagogues and to be greeted in the public squares. 44 Woe to you, for you are like unseen tombs on which men walk without knowing. " A
teacher of the law took the word and said, "Master, speaking thus, you
also insult us!" 46 Jesus replied, "Woe to you also, teachers of the
law, because you put unbearable burdens on men and you yourselves do not
touch them loads with one finger ". - Word of salvation."
Refletindo o Evangelho
"Jesus reprova os fariseus e também os mestres da lei porque eles: 1. Apegam-se a preceitos
minúsculos, mas esquecem do mais importante, isto é, a justiça e o amor
de Deus. 2. Buscam honras nas sinagogas e nas praças públicas. 3.
Contaminam, com seus vícios, as pessoas que deles se aproximam (v. 44).
Quanto aos especialistas da Lei, Jesus os acusa de sobrecarregar o povo
com suas leis, enquanto eles mesmos se esquivam delas. É que davam muita
importância a observâncias secundárias e descuidavam o essencial. O
profeta Miqueias dizia: “Ó homem, já foi explicado o que é bom e o que o
Senhor exige de você: praticar o direito, amar a misericórdia, caminhar
humildemente com o seu Deus” (Mq 6,8). Podemos perguntar-nos: dentre as
muitas boas obras que realizamos, quais são as que mais agradam a Deus?"

"Jesus
reproves the Pharisees and also the teachers of the law because they: 1.
They cling to tiny precepts, but forget the most important, that is,
justice and the love of God. 2. They seek honors in synagogues and public squares. 3. They pollute with their vices the people who approach them (v. 44). As
for the specialists of the Law, Jesus accuses them of overburdening the
people with their laws, while they themselves dodge them. They gave too much importance to secondary observances and neglected the essential. The
prophet Micah said, "O man, what is good and what the Lord demands of
you has already been explained: to practice law, to love mercy, to walk
humbly with his God" (Mk 6,8). We may ask ourselves: among the many good works we do, which ones are most pleasing to God?"
