Depois o cozinhavam numa panela e faziam broas com gosto de pão amassado com azeite. 9 À noite, quando o orvalho caía no acampamento, caía também o maná. 10 Moisés ouviu, pois, o povo lamentar-se em cada família, cada um à entrada de sua tenda. 11 Então, o Senhor tomou-se de uma cólera violenta, e Moisés, achando também tal coisa intolerável, disse ao Senhor: “Por que maltrataste assim o teu povo? Por que gozo tão pouco do teu favor, a ponto de descarregares sobre mim o peso de todo este povo? 12 Acaso fui eu quem concebeu e deu à luz todo este povo, para que me digas: ‘Carrega-o ao colo, como a ama costuma fazer com a criança, e leva-o à terra que juraste dar a seus pais’? 13 Onde conseguirei carne para dar a toda esta gente? Pois se lamentam contra mim, dizendo: ‘Dá-nos carne para comer!’ 14J á não posso suportar sozinho o peso de todo este povo: é grande demais para mim. 15 Se queres continuar a tratar-me assim, peço-te que me tires a vida, se achei graça a teus olhos, para que eu não veja mais tamanha desgraça”. – Palavra do Senhor.

Dai-lhes vós mesmos de comer!” 17 Os discípulos responderam: “Só temos aqui cinco pães e dois peixes”. 18 Jesus disse: “Trazei-os aqui”. 19 Jesus mandou que as multidões se sentassem na grama. Gospel - Matthew 17,1-9

Refletindo o Evangelho
Os sinais de Jesus se multiplicam. Antes, com poucos pães e peixes, ele sacia a fome da multidão faminta. Agora, caminha sobre as águas em direção à barca dos discípulos. Caminhar sobre as águas é uma prerrogativa divina. Somente Deus domina completamente as forças caóticas que se desencadeiam no mundo e no coração humano. Em nossa vida pessoal e na missão, deparamo-nos com obstáculos, dentre os quais a nossa falta de fé, que nos paralisam e nos impedem de alcançar resultados satisfatórios. Também as lideranças religiosas, representadas por Pedro, correm o risco de perder a fé. Se, porém, em vez de alimentar o medo e a insegurança, dermos espaço à presença e à palavra de Cristo, então as coisas poderão mudar. A paz e a calma voltam ao coração. Reflecting the Gospel
The signs of Jesus are multiplying. Before, with a few loaves and fishes, it quenches the hunger of the crowd. Now, walking on water towards the barca of the disciples.
