Parábola do semeador.
Parable of the sower.

Evangelho do dia
O semeador saiu a semear. 14O semeador semeia a Palavra.

Gospel of the day
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Mark 4,1-20 - At that time, 1Jesus began to teach again on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. A very large crowd gathered around him, so Jesus got into a boat and sat down, while the crowd remained by the shore, on the beach. 2Jesus taught them many things in parables. And, in his teaching, he said to them: 3 “Listen! The sower went out to sow. 4While sowing, a part of the seed fell by the side of the path; the birds came and ate it. 5 Another part fell on rocky ground, where there was not much land; it sprouted immediately, because the earth was not deep, but when the sun came out, it was burned; and since it had no root, it withered. 7 Another part fell among the thorns; the thorns grew, choked it, and it did not bear fruit. 8 Another part fell on good ground and bore fruit, which grew and grew, reaching thirty, sixty and even a hundredfold. ” 9And Jesus said, "Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear." 10When he was alone, those who were with him, along with the twelve, asked about the parables. 11Jesus said to them, “You have been given the mystery of the Kingdom of God; for those who are outside, everything happens in parables, 12 so that they look, but do not see, listen, but do not understand, lest they be converted and not be forgiven ”. 13And he said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? So, how will you understand all the other parables? 14The sower sows the Word. 15 Those on the side of the road are those in which the Word was sown; as soon as they hear it, satan comes and takes away the Word that was sown in them. 16 Likewise, those who received the seed on rocky ground are those who hear the Word and soon receive it with joy, 17but they have no root in themselves, they are unstable; when a tribulation or persecution comes because of the Word, they immediately give up. 18Other receive the seed among the thorns: they are those who hear the Word, 19but when the world's concerns, the illusion of wealth and all other desires, suffocate the Word, and it bears no fruit. 20 Finally, those who receive the seed on good ground are those who hear the Word, receive it and bear fruit; one gives thirty, another sixty and another hundred for one ”. - Word of salvation.

The Kingdom of God is near to you.

Evangelho do dia

Gospel of the day
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 10,1-9 - At that time, 1st Lord chose seventy-two other disciples and sent them two by two, in front of him, to every city and place where he himself had to go. 2And he said to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So I asked the owner of the harvest to send workers to the harvest. 3 Behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves. 4 Don't take a purse, a bag, or sandals, and don't greet anyone on the way! 5 In whatever house you enter, say first: ‘Peace be in this house!’ 6If a friend of peace lives there, your peace will rest upon him; if not, it will come back to you. 7I stayed in that same house, ate and drank what they have, because the worker deserves his salary. Do not pass from house to house. 8When you enter a city and you are welcomed, eat what is served to you, 9 heal the sick who are in it and say to the people: 'The Kingdom of God is near to you' ”. - Word of salvation.

Healing on Saturday.

Evangelho do dia
Ele a estendeu e a mão ficou curada.

Save a life or let it die? ” But they said nothing. 5Jesus then looked around him full of anger and sadness, because they were hard of heart, and said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." However, only priests are allowed to eat these loaves ”. 27And he added: “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. 28Therefore, the Son of Man is also the lord of the Sabbath ”. - Word of salvation.

To Pray
O Jesus, Son of Man, the Pharisees accuse your disciples of harvesting on the day reserved for rest and divine worship. The reality is that your disciples were not working, they were just killing hunger. Then, leaning on Scripture and Lord even on the Sabbath, fight your evil opponents. Amen.

🇧🇷Ótimo dia: Evangelho 18 Jan | 🇺🇸Great day: Gospel Jan 18

Vinho novo em odres novos.
New wine in new wineskins.

Evangelho do dia

Gospel of the day
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Mark 2,18-22 - At that time, the 18 disciples of John the Baptist and the Pharisees were fasting. Then they came to say to Jesus, "Why do John's disciples and the Pharisees' disciples fast and your disciples not fast?" 19Jesus replied, “Could the guests at a wedding, by any chance, fast while the bridegroom is with them? While the bridegroom is with them, guests cannot fast. 20But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then, they will fast. 21 Nobody puts a patch of new cloth on an old garment, because the new patch tugs at the old cloth and the tear gets even bigger. 22No one puts new wine in old bottles, because new wine breaks old bottles and wine and bottles are lost. For this reason, new wine in new wineskins ”. - Word of salvation.

To Pray
O Master, you encounter the incomprehension of the disciples of John the Baptist and the Pharisees. They fast and question why Your disciples do not. Simple: you are the “fiancé” of the new community, everyone needs to welcome you and rejoice and your opponents, “old clothes”, do not notice this newness. Amen.
