Tu és o Filho de Deus!

You are the Son of God!

Como um fenômeno extraordinário, Jesus atrai multidões de toda a região. Vinham até ele motivadas por “todas as coisas que ele fazia”. O que fazia? Anunciava a Boa-Nova do Reino, curava os doentes, expulsava os demônios, perdoava pecados. Começava novo tempo. Até os seus adversários o reconheciam como “Filho de Deus”. Jesus, porém, recomendava que “não divulgassem quem ele era”. Ele agia para que toda a sociedade fosse alicerçada na prática da justiça e da fraternidade.

As an extraordinary phenomenon, Jesus attracts crowds from across the region. They came to him motivated by "all the things he did". What did he do? He announced the Good News of the Kingdom, healed the sick, cast out demons, forgave sins. A new time was beginning. Even his opponents recognized him as "Son of God". Jesus, however, recommended that they “not divulge who he was”. He acted so that the whole society was based on the practice of justice and fraternity.

Leitura do primeiro livro de Samuel 18,6-9; 19,1-7 – Naqueles dias, 6quando Davi voltou, depois de ter matado o filisteu, as mulheres de todas as cidades de Israel saíram ao encontro do rei Saul, dançando e cantando alegremente ao som de tamborins e címbalos. 7E, enquanto dançavam, diziam em coro: “Saul matou mil, mas Davi matou dez mil”. 8Saul ficou muito encolerizado com isso e não gostou nada da canção, dizendo: “A Davi deram dez mil e a mim somente mil. Que lhe falta ainda, senão a realeza?” 9E, a partir daquele dia, não olhou mais para Davi com bons olhos. 19,1Saul falou a Jônatas, seu filho, e a todos os seus servos sobre sua intenção de matar Davi. Mas Jônatas, filho de Saul, amava profundamente Davi 2e preveniu-o a respeito disso, dizendo: “Saul, meu pai, procura matar-te; portanto, toma cuidado amanhã de manhã e fica oculto em um esconderijo. 3Eu mesmo sairei em companhia de meu pai, no campo, onde estiveres, e lhe falarei de ti, para ver o que ele diz, e depois te avisarei de tudo o que eu souber”. 4Então Jônatas falou bem de Davi a Saul, seu pai, e acrescentou: “Não faças mal algum ao teu servo Davi, porque ele nunca te ofendeu. Ao contrário, o que ele tem feito foi muito proveitoso para ti. 5Arriscou a sua vida, matando o filisteu, e o Senhor deu uma grande vitória a todo Israel. Tu mesmo foste testemunha e te alegraste. Por que, então, pecarias, derramando sangue inocente e mandando matar Davi sem motivo?” 6Saul, ouvindo isso e aplacado com as razões de Jônatas, jurou: “Pela vida do Senhor, ele não será morto!” 7Então Jônatas chamou Davi e contou-lhe tudo isso. Levou-o em seguida a Saul, para que ele retomasse o seu lugar, como antes. – Palavra do Senhor.

Reading the first book of Samuel 18,6-9; 19,1-7 - In those days, 6When David returned, after killing the Philistine, women from all the cities of Israel went out to meet King Saul, dancing and singing happily to the sound of tambourines and cymbals. 7And while they danced, they said in chorus, "Saul killed a thousand, but David killed ten thousand." 8Saul was very angry with this and did not like the song at all, saying: “David was given ten thousand and me only a thousand. What do you still lack, if not royalty? ”9And, from that day on, he no longer looked at David with good eyes. 19,1Saul spoke to Jonathan his son and all his servants about his intention to kill David. But Jonathan, Saul's son, loved David deeply and warned him about it, saying: “Saul, my father, seek to kill you; so be careful tomorrow morning and stay hidden in a hiding place. 3I myself will go out with my father, in the field, wherever you are, and I will tell him about you, to see what he says, and then I will warn you of everything I know ”. 4Then Jonathan spoke well of David to his father Saul, and added, “Do no harm to your servant David, because he never offended you. Why, then, would you sin, shedding innocent blood and having David killed for no reason? ”6Saul, hearing this and appeased with Jonathan's reasons, swore,“ For the life of the Lord, he will not be killed! ”7Then Jonathan called David and told you all this. É no Senhor que eu confio e nada temo. 
1. Tende pena e compaixão de mim, ó Deus, † pois há tantos que me calcam sob os pés, / e agressores me oprimem todo dia! / Meus inimigos de contínuo me espezinham, / são numerosos os que lutam contra mim! 
2. Do meu exílio registrastes cada passo, † em vosso odre recolhestes cada lágrima / e anotastes tudo isso em vosso livro. / Meus inimigos haverão de recuar † em qualquer dia em que eu vos invocar; / tenho certeza: o Senhor está comigo!

It is in the Lord that I trust and fear nothing.

Muita gente da Galileia o seguia. 8E também muita gente da Judeia, de Jerusalém, da Idumeia, do outro lado do Jordão, dos territórios de Tiro e Sidônia foi até Jesus, porque tinham ouvido falar de tudo o que ele fazia. 9Então Jesus pediu aos discípulos que lhe providenciassem uma barca, por causa da multidão, para que não o comprimisse. 10Com efeito, Jesus tinha curado muitas pessoas, e todos os que sofriam de algum mal jogavam-se sobre ele para tocá-lo. 11Vendo Jesus, os espíritos maus caíam a seus pés, gritando: “Tu és o Filho de Deus!” 12Mas Jesus ordenava severamente para não dizerem quem ele era. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Savior Jesus Christ destroyed evil and death; / made the imperishable light and life shine through the gospel (2 Tim 1,10). Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to Mark 3,7-12 - At that time, 7 Jesus withdrew to the seashore with his disciples.
