Jesus percorria os povoados das redondezas, ensinando.
Jesus went around the surrounding villages, teaching.

Evangelho -
Marcos 6,1-6

Apenas curou alguns doentes, impondo-lhes as mãos. 6E admirou-se com a falta de fé deles. Jesus percorria os povoados das redondezas, ensinando. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel - Mark 6,1-6
Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ According to Mark - At that time, Jesus went to Nazareth, his land, and his disciples followed him. 2When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue. Many who listened to him were amazed and said, "Where did he get all this? How did you get so much wisdom? And these great miracles that are performed by your hands? 3This man is not the carpenter, son of Mary and brother of James, Joset, Judas, and Simon? Your sisters do not live here with us? "And they were scandalized by him. 4Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not esteemed in his own country among his kinsmen and relatives." 5And there he could do no miracles. He only healed some sick people by laying their hands on them. 6And they marveled at their lack of faith. Jesus went around the surrounding villages, teaching. - Word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

Reflecting the Gospel
The preaching of Jesus was not always accepted with enthusiasm. Just in Nazareth, his land, he encountered strong resistance. According to the Gospel of Mark, Jesus enters for the last time in a synagogue. And then they begin to discredit his words and reject him because he does not have the academic training of lawyers. Jesus causes scandals to be a simple, very human person, without much study with the wise. The humanity of God can shock. Many like to think of an authoritarian, miraculous, punishing God. This God, however, does not exist. Jesus reveals the love of God. The true prophet is the one who discovers the will of God in the situations of life, and does not always proclaim what we would like to hear. The word of the prophet is good news, a word that frees, saves and gives hope. The true prophet has the courage and daring of the women and men of his time, who do not forget the most vulnerable: small, poor, despised. By his word, Jesus restores justice to the wronged, restore dignity to the excluded, proclaim joy to the sad and hope to the discouraged.

Rezando
Salmo 122/123.

Rezando
Our eyes are fixed on the Lord: / have mercy, O Lord, have mercy. I lift up my eyes to you, / who dwell in the highest heavens. How the eyes of the slaves are set in the hands of their master. As the eyes of the slaves are in the hands of their mistress, / so our eyes, in the Lord, / have mercy on us. Have mercy, O Lord, have mercy; / That scorn is too much! / We are fed up with the mockery of the riches / and the contempt of the proud!. Psalm 122/123.
