Pescadores de homens!
Fishers of men!

1a. Leitura - Romanos 10,9-18
– Palavra do Senhor.

1st Reading - Romans 10,9-18
Reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Romans – Brothers, 9 If, with your mouth confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 it is by believing in your heart that justice is reached and is confessing the faith with your mouth you get salvation. 11 for the Scripture says: "Whosoever believes in him will not be confused". 12 so no matter the difference between Jew and Greek; all have the same Lord who is generous to all who invoke. 13 in fact, those who invoke the name of the Lord will be saved. 14 But how to invoke it without believing in it? And how to believe without having heard of him? And how to listen without someone to preach? 15 and how to preach without being sent to it? That's the way it is written, "how beautiful are the feet of those who announce the well". 16 But not all obey the good news. As Isaiah says, "Lord, who believed in our preaching?" 17 so faith comes from preaching, and preaching is done by the word of Christ. 18 Then, I wonder: do they not heard? Certainly you've heard, because "their voices spread throughout the Earth, and their words have reached the end of the world". -The word of the Lord.

Evangelho - Mateus 4,18-22
22 Eles, imediatamente, deixaram a barca e o pai e o seguiram. – Palavra da salvação.

Gospel - Matthew 4,18-22
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew – at that time, 18 when Jesus walked by the sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and your brother André. They were throwing the net into the sea, for they were fishermen. 19 Jesus said to them: "follow me, and I will make you fishers of men". 20 They immediately left their nets and followed him. 21 Walking some more, Jesus saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and your brother John. Were on the ferry with your father, Zebedee, mending their nets. Jesus called them. 22 immediately They left the boat and their father and followed him. -The word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

Reflecting the Gospel
There are two traditions about the vocation of Andrew. In Mc, 1 16ss, was called along with Pedro, when they were fishing in the sea of Galilee. According to Jo 1, 40ss, was called along with another disciple of Baptist, who pointed to Jesus as the "Lamb of God". André appears in the cast of the twelve apostles. In Jo 6.8, is Andre who tells about a boy who has the loaves and the fishes that soon are shared among all. In Jo 12.22, André mediates between Jesus and the Greeks requesting an interview with Jesus. Some traditions state that André has developed your Apostolic Ministry in Greece and Asia minor. According to these traditions, died a martyr in Patras, about a cross in x. his relics, taken to Rome in 1462, were returned to Greece by Pope Paul VI.
