Naquele tempo, 43 Jesus partiu da Samaria para a Galileia. 44 O próprio Jesus tinha declarado, que um profeta não é honrado na sua própria terra. 45 Quando então chegou à Galileia, os galileus receberam-no bem, porque tinham visto tudo o que Jesus havia feito em Jerusalém, durante a festa. Pois também eles tinham ido à festa. 46 Assim, Jesus voltou para Caná da Galileia, onde havia transformado água em vinho. Havia em Cafarnaum um fun­cionário do rei que tinha um filho doente. 47 Ouviu dizer que Jesus tinha vindo da Judeia para a Galileia. Ele saiu ao seu encontro e pediu-lhe que fosse a Cafarnaum curar seu filho, que estava morrendo. 48 Jesus disse-lhe: “Se não virdes sinais e prodígios, não acreditais”. 49 O funcionário do rei disse: “Senhor, desce, antes que meu filho morra!” 50 Jesus lhe disse: “Podes ir, teu filho está vivo”. O homem acreditou na palavra de Jesus e foi embora. 51 Enquanto descia para Ca­farnaum, seus empregados foram ao seu encontro, dizendo que o seu filho estava vivo. 52 O funcionário perguntou a que horas o menino tinha melhorado. Eles responderam: “A febre desapareceu, ontem, pela uma da tarde”. 53 O pai verificou que tinha sido exatamente na mesma hora em que Jesus lhe havia dito: “Teu filho está vivo”. Então, ele abraçou a fé, juntamente com toda a sua família. 54 Esse foi o segundo sinal de Jesus. Realizou-o quando voltou da Judeia para a Galileia.

Biblical Text 
At that time, 43 Jesus departed from Samaria to the Galilee. 44 Jesus himself had declared that a prophet isn't honored in your own land. 45 when he arrived in Galilee, the Galileans received him well, because they had seen everything that Jesus had done in Jerusalem, during the party. Because they, too, had gone to the party. 46 so Jesus came back to Cana of Galilee, where he transformed water into wine. There was in Capernaum a fun is nevertheless revolutionary of the King who had a sick child. 47 heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee. They answered: "the fever disappeared yesterday by one o'clock". 53 the father found that had been at exactly the same time at which Jesus had said: "Your son is alive". Then, he embraced the faith, together with your whole family. 54 This was the second sign of Jesus. Held him when he came back from Judea to Galilee.

Refletindo

Jesus declarou que um profeta não é honrado na sua própria terra. Como ele foi criado na cidade de Nazaré, que fica na Galiléia, fazia referência aos galileus, que precisavam de sinais e prodígios para crer e ficavam exigindo que Jesus operasse milagres que testemunhariam que ele de fato era o Filho de Deus. Jesus nos mostra que o processo é justamente o contrário: não são os sinais que devem nos levar a crer, mas é a nossa fé que deve produzir sinais de Reino de Deus, sinais de fraternidade, de justiça, de amor, de vida em abundância. Porque ter fé significa ter a presença amorosa e solidária de Deus em todos os momentos da vida. Como diz um texto lido no whatsapp: ..."Rezar é meditar. E fortalece muito. É bom para quem tem fé, é bom para quem quer ter fé, é bom para quem quer ter paz, é bom para quem quer ter foco e discernimento. Quando você reza ou medita, você foca, concentra, reúne forças, toma o controle da sua vida. Você toma o controle, como a inveja, a usura, o olho gordo, a pequenez, o medo e os instintos animais que existem em cada um de nós. Sem a oração e a meditação a gente desembesta a fumar, a beber, a tomar Rivotril. Desembesta a sofrer e a passar as noites acordado. Desembesta a pensar com o fígado em vez de pensar com a cabeça, com o coração e com a alma".

Reflecting

Jesus declared that a prophet isn't honored in your own land. As he was raised in the city of Nazareth, in Galilee, made reference to the Galileans, they needed signs and wonders to believe and were demanding that Jesus operated miracles would testify that he in fact was the son of God. Jesus shows us that the process is just the opposite: there are signs that should lead us to believe, but it is our faith which should produce signs of God's Kingdom, signs of fraternity, of Justice, of love, of life in abundance. Because having faith means having the loving presence and solidarity of God in every moment of life. How does a text read on whatsapp: ..."Pray is meditation. And strengthens a lot. It's good for those who have faith, is good for those who want to have faith, is good for those who want to have peace, it's good for anyone who wants to have focus and insight. When you pray or meditate, you focus, concentrates, gathers strength, take control of your life. You take control, like envy, usury, the evil eye, the smallness, the fear and the animal instincts which exist in each of us. Without prayer and meditation we desembesta smoking, drinking, taking Rivotril. Desembesta suffering and spend your nights awake.
